    Alhamdulillah 🙏 I am delighted to announce that I’ve successfully completed my PnR internship at ICpedia. This experience has been an incredible journey Throughout the internship, we explored key VLSI and ASIC fundamentals, from the basics of CMOS and microfabrication, to more advanced topics like logic synthesis, DFT, and low power techniques. We dove into the details of PnR, including standard cell libraries, timing analysis, floor planning, placement, CTS, routing, and physical verification, covering every step from RTL to GDS. wrapping up the journey with the Physical implementation of the Wishbone Quad SPI IP project, optimizing for minimum area and maximum frequency while staying DRC-clean. A special thank you to Eng. Islam Samir for his invaluable guidance throughout the internship. I’d also like to express my appreciation to Eng. Mina Safwat, Eng. Abanoub Adel, Eng. Michael Hany, Eng. Hossam Hassan, and Eng. Yara Ahmed for their continuous support and knowledge sharing. As a PnR Engineer, you’ll have the unique opportunity to excel independently and collaboratively, utilizing cutting-edge flows to implement and verify a diverse range of IPs on the latest process technologies. If you're passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology 🚀 and eager to make a significant impact, we want to hear from you! 💡 Job responsibilities and qualifications are highlighted here: 🔧 Responsibilities: Developing and maintaining the digital backend design of a variety of mixed-signal IPs and Testchips. Logic synthesis, DFT implementation. Floorplanning and Power planning. Placement, Clock tree Synthesis, and Routing. Parasitic Extraction, Static timing analysis, different timing requirements necessary for proper operation of digital systems. Physical verification to ensure meeting foundry design rules (DRC), LVS, and antenna checking. Understanding electromigration and IR drop analysis, their importance for proper operation, checking and how to fix/avoid related violations. Maintaining design flows to meet technology-dependent requirements and customer specifications. Interface with the larger product team to understand design constraints, deliverable formats, customer requirements. 🎓 Qualifications: B.Sc. in Computer/Electronics Engineering with 0-2 years of industrial digital ASIC design. Good scripting skills for: TCL, PERL or Python, Make, Shell scripting. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Knowledge of physical implementation and verification tools is preferable. [Design Compiler, ICC/ICC2, PrimeTime, ICV/Calibre, Redhawk] Excellent command of written and spoken English language. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with different design groups and customer support teams. Self-motivated, disciplined, proactive, and able to balance great output with meeting tight deadlines.
