Reflecting on an extraordinary trade mission to Egypt!
I am thrilled to share the remarkable success of our recent joint trade mission with The Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce and the Department for Business and Trade, in partnership with the British Embassy Cairo. This mission has been an outstanding showcase of collaboration and opportunity in the heart of Egypt.
A heartfelt thank you to Veronica Dawson MIEx, Colin Melhuish, Alexandra Silverton, Anya J. M. Their strategic insights and tireless efforts paved the way for impactful engagements and fruitful partnerships.
Special appreciation also goes to Charlie Garnett, Wafaa Saad, George Yunan and Rana Abdelrehim from the British Embassy Cairo for their invaluable support and local knowledge throughout our journey. Their commitment ensured seamless coordination and enriched our understanding of Egypt's dynamic business environment.
During our time in Egypt, we engaged in numerous high-level meetings with key stakeholders such as the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) , Suez Canal Economic Zone, The Sovereign Fund of Egypt , Chairman of The New Administrative Capital - العاصمة الادارية الجديدة, the Minister of Planning and Economic Development and the Minister of Aviation.
We also participated in significant industry events including the Big 5 Construct Egypt and Egypt Infrastructure & Water Expo, where opportunities for collaboration were abundant.
An insightful Breakfast Briefing on 'The National Initiative for Smart Green Projects: Strategic Public Partnerships for Boosting Green Economy in Egypt, held by our partners British Egyptian Business Association (BEBA). This session underscored our commitment to sustainable development and innovation in Egypt.
With over 200 arranged B2B meetings, we fostered meaningful connections and explored new avenues for bilateral trade and investment. Beyond business, our journey was enriched by cultural dinners, a memorable networking reception at the British Embassy, and visits to the iconic Pyramids, further strengthening the bonds between our nations.
We can't thank the Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski for hosting such an incredible opening networking cocktail party.
Looking forward, I am excited about the opportunities that have emerged from this mission and the potential for continued collaboration between British and Egyptian enterprises. Together, we are shaping a future of prosperity and mutual benefit.
On behalf of Mohanad Khaled, Mark Lawrence, Sally Ayyad and the EBCC board a sincere thank you to everyone involved in making this trade mission a resounding success. Your dedication, enthusiasm, and collaborative spirit have set a new benchmark for international business engagements.
