🌟 Meet Our International Intern: Malte Winkler! 🌟 We are glad to introduce our international intern from Germany, Malte Winkler! Malte joined us three months ago as part of an 18-month internship program, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and fresh perspectives. His internship with W.EG in Estonia will last for 6 months. Malte is eager to dive into the world of electrical materials wholesale and learn about the intricacies of our industry. During his internship, he has been working in the purchasing department, gaining hands-on experience in procurement processes, supplier management, and driving forward our digitalization and automation process with EDI. Malte chose the Würth Group for its sustainable growth, international opportunities, and unique working culture. He aims to understand Würth's global business, develop professionally, and find his niche. Estonia intrigued him as a new cultural experience and a chance to work outside the Würth line network. In his free time, Malte enjoys outdoor activities and has a strong background in football, having played at a high level in Germany and the US. He's excited to integrate into the team, explore Estonian culture, and make lasting memories. Würth Group operates internationally, and so do their trainees. The program enables trainees to build a global network, while they are supported by various seminars and development opportunities throughout the program. The goal upon completing the program is to fill key positions in the company's international subsidiaries worldwide. We in Würth Group are proud to support talented individuals like Malte, helping them grow and succeed on an international stage. We are happy to have you, Malte! 🚀 Leave an encouraging comment for Malte to welcome him to our community! #InternshipJourney #WurthGroup #WEGEesti #ElectricalMaterials #Digitalization #Procurement #SupplierManagement #CareerDevelopment

Chairman of the Central Management Board of the Würth Group

The Würth Group was once again on course for a record year and did not allow itself to be discouraged by difficult times. Today we published our results for the 2023 fiscal year: At EUR 20.4 billion, the Würth Group achieved new #record sales.   The operating result amounts to EUR 1.5 billion and is the second-best in the company's history. Equity increases to EUR 8.8 billion and ensures stability.   Our key figures: ▶ The group has closed 2023 with a sales record of EUR 20.4 billion. This corresponds to growth of 2.3 percent. ▶ Würth's core business is the production and sale of assembly and fastening materials. We generate 54 percent of total sales in this business area. The remaining 46 percent are generated by other trading and production companies, known as the Allied Companies. ▶ Our employees are at the heart of our success. The number of employees worldwide has increased by 1,410. In absolute terms, this is slightly more than the 87,000 employees we had at the end of the year.   We are currently experiencing economic headwinds; however, we expect to be past the worst in the third quarter of 2024. This is why we will not change our strategy but continue to follow a countercyclical approach: We hold on to our employees and continue to invest in research and development. Where research and development take place, innovations are created. At the Reinhold Würth Innovation Center Curio, we deal with future topics such as sustainable construction, new technologies such as artificial intelligence or the Internet of Things for greater efficiency on the construction site and, of course, the further development of our core business.   It gives me courage to see what we have achieved. It shows us that the strategy we have adopted is working and that it is worthwhile for Würth to invest boldly in innovations. Innovations are part of our long-term strategy. This pays off for our customers and therefore also for us. And so, we look to the second half of the year with confidence and courage.   #Courage is part of Würth's DNA. Würth stands for courage.   A big thank you to all colleagues, customers and partners for your continued trust and cooperation.   Learn more about the annual financial statements of the Würth Group: https://lnkd.in/e-weFXrg   #wuerthgroup #wuerthcourage #pressconference

We are thrilled to highlight the outstanding achievement of our Head of Purchasing Department, Bogdan Onoshko! Bogdan recently had the opportunity to present and showcase a pivotal project to the corporate management as part of an international project team. Over the past 14 months, Bogdan has been an integral part of this dynamic team, collaborating across borders and time zones to drive success. Last week marked a significant milestone as Bogdan, along with 7 other teams, presented their projects to the esteemed board of the Würth Group. This Final Presentation was the culmination of tireless dedication, innovation, and teamwork, involving a total of 63 individuals spanning across 20 countries. Congratulations, Bogdan, on a job exceptionally well done! Furthermore, it's noteworthy to mention that the aim of the Würth Group is for management positions to be filled primarily from the company’s own ranks. In line with this vision, the Würth Business Academy supports this process by offering suitable training programs for different stages in an employee’s development. We're proud to announce that our managing director, Silver Aiaste, has previously successfully completed this program and Jaanus Mäe and Ekaterina Doroshenko will be completing the program next year, further exemplifying our commitment to nurturing and promoting talent from within. Congratulations once again to Bogdan and Silver and best wishes to Jaanus and Ekaterina on their upcoming achievements! #wba #HighPotential #thinktank2022

In the end of February, our board members participated in the strategic meeting of Würth Group's electrical wholesale companie leaders in Poland. The meeting summarized the achievements of 2023 and set plans for the future. Additionally, thorough introductions were made to our recently acquired wholesale company TIM together with its subsidiary 3LP.   TIM has distinguished itself through its e-commerce sales channel, which has proven effective in merchandise distribution. Such a digital approach is increasingly crucial, and we are pleased to witness TIM's success in this area.   3LP, one of the most modern companies involved in the logistics of electrical materials in Europe, offers a variety of services, extending to third parties such as IKEA and automotive tire retailers.   These two entities contribute significantly to solidifying Würth Group's strong position in the electrical wholesale market and open new avenues for future growth. We are excited about continuing this journey and look forward to embracing new challenges!

At W.EG. Eesti we have the traditional format for customer events that is called "Workshop for Experts“. These annual regional events bring together our customers and industry experts to learn and discuss practical topics. In collaboration with the Estonian Rescue Board🔥, we engage in proactive efforts to ensure that fire safety requirements for solar parks are met, making any potential issues preventable. Garri Mölder, Chief Inspector from the Safety Supervision Office of the Estonian Rescue Board, joined us in the Experts workshop event series. We had the pleasure of hosting a representative from Deye Baltics, an importer of electrical energy storage equipment, who shared insights on how to save on electricity bills and even generate income through battery usage throughout the year. 💡💰 Additionally, we showcased products and solutions from NOARK, Prysmian, OBO, and ABB to the participants. A big thank you to all our speakers and participants!🙌 Looking forward to seeing you at our next expert workshops next year. 📅
