When your time tracking data looks like this 😍
Ever wondered how much time you'd spend doing billable hours if you started your own business? I thought I’d share my experience from the past 12 months. Here’s how my time has been divided: -60% billable hours - within those billable hours: -60% delivering construction phase BIM -40% design phase BIM management -40% non-billable hours - within those non-billable hours: -15% business admin -20% research and development, plus miscellaneous small projects -5% lead generation work I capture my time using Toggl (I love this app) #BIM #Construction

Google what an agency operations manager does, and the answer will be something like “optimizing systems or processes.” It sounds simple on paper. But it’s 𝑛𝑜𝑡 so simple in practice. Hannah McClenaghan, the operations manager over at Talk Shop, isn’t the first to be given the challenge of how to make operations more efficient while increasing profitability 𝗮𝗻𝗱 keeping the workloads manageable. But she found the answer was right in front of her — data 📊 McClenaghan shared her tips and advice for other operations managers about how data can help improve every corner of an agency. Hey there! Yes, you. 🫵 Did you know Toggl is more than just hiring? Meet our family: Toggl Track for time tracking, Toggl Plan for work planning, and, of course, Toggl Hire. As our older siblings, you might have heard about them before… ⏱️ Track is...the golden child. You know, the one who aced every class and still had time to volunteer. Track’s got a knack for making every second count (which is cool until you're living with them and wanna take a second to rest—geeeeez). They’ve also been featured in the New York Times. NBD. 📅 Plan is the family’s type A organizer. They color-code their wardrobe and have a calendar for their calendars. They keep everyone in line, though. Just don't surprise them with any last-minute plans (schedule it in the calendar weeks in advance, or else…). They also helped Buzzfeed simplify freelancer management (not jealous at all). 💻 And then there's us—Hire! Some might call us the dreamer, the rebel even. We're constantly dreaming up new ways to improve the hiring process and make your life easier (partly because we love efficiency, but also because we believe candidates deserve so much better than they get). We’re excited to be part of the fam...even if they make us sit at the kid’s table on holidays. 👶🏼

“𝘈 𝘭𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘭𝘥-𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺, 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬, 𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺’𝘭𝘭 𝘨𝘰 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘺, ‘𝘞𝘦’𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵.’ Thats how David Jackson — CEO at FullStack Labs — describes the competition. But this style of pitching? It’s not how his agency does it. They show up with Toggl Track reports showing what their developers work on and how long projects will take 📋 It’s what makes them radically different — and allows them to outcompete their competitors. Read about how FullStack Labs has grown tenfold in a few short years with the help of our powerful time tracking and data platform 👇 https://hubs.ly/Q02H2s3Z0

Hang Liz's tech stack in the Louvre 🤌
I used to have a new technology fear.... 😅 But now I can't live without these tools as a freelancer: ✨ Canva is my bestie for creating posts and carousels and is just everything I need in a designing tool ✨ Notion finally got rid of my endless paper to-do lists, and helps me organise my work like no other tool before ✨ TidyCal for all my calls and bookings, they have an amazing life plan (and it's on sale right now) ✨ Toggl for tracking my hours and my projects efficiently, and I really like the way it looks too And of course, I use Meta Business Suite and Ads Manager, but let's not talk about those 😂 I was scared to start using most of them at the start, because I didn't like trying out new technologies 😅 But most of these tools have made my life as a freelancer significantly easier, and I am so glad I have them now. 😁 P.S. These are all recommendations because I like the tools, not ads. Which tools do you use and like? 👇🏻
