Fairtrade is a global grassroot movement, certification and licensing system working directly with and for the farmers in Global South and with producers all around the world. Key issues addressed are environment, climate change, child and forced labor, human and workers rights, decent livelihoods, gender equality, HREDD and SDG-s.
The purpose of Fairtrade in The Baltic States is to make it easier for our consumers to choose ethical and environmentally friendly products for everyday use, to support local producers use certified raw material and businesses and organizations to find partners offering Fairtrade options.
Together with Fairtrade Finland/ Reilu kauppa ry we oversee the use of Fairtrade mark, organize licensing, collaborate with partners on projects, empower businesses with their sustainability and corporate responsibility purposes and promote Fairtrade`s purpose and accomplishments.
We are part of Fairtrade International, with 21 other regional Fairtrade organizations and numerous producer organizations in the south.
The selection with Fairtrade mark is very wide and consists of foods, drinks, hygiene and cosmetics products, flowers, cotton products, gold and rubber products used every day.
