You're Invited to the Energy | Climate-Focused Accelerator Information Day! ⏰ August 29th at 2:30 PM 📍 Vabaduse Workland, Pärnu mnt 12 👉 For detailed schedule and registration: https://lu.ma/0tfrcq98 What are Beamline, BIA and Sparkup looking for from the teams in their new batch? ✔️ Developing science-based solutions in cleantech ✔️ Focus: energy, construction and climate resilience ✔️ Has a prototype tested in the lab or relevant environment ✔️ Either currently fundraising or planning to start fundraising within 6-12 upcoming months ✔️ Registered or incorporated in Estonia ✔️ Dedicated team with at least 2 founders
Dear cleantech innovators who will be in Estonia🇪🇪 on August 29th! We invite you to the Energy | Climate Focus Program’s Information Day. This event is dedicated to the program that Beamline Accelerator is implementing in collaboration with Baltic Innovation Agency and Sparkup Tartu Science Park. You definitely need to be there if you're a founder of a startup in the fields of ⚡ energy 🧱 construction 🌱 climate resilience But honestly, if you work with such startups, are an advisor, or have a community of innovators, it's also worth attending this event. During the event, we'll discuss the challenges that this program aims to address, and of course, we'll provide details about the program and how to join it. The Energy | Climate Focus Program offers two main things: - Funding that can be used to buy hardware and order business services (each program participant receives up to €100,000) - Mentors and experts And all of this is non-dilutive, meaning no equity is taken from your startup. A fantastic opportunity for founders! Registration is already open, and you can find the link in the event details. Energy | Climate focus accelerator is supported by the KIK (Environmental Investment Centre) within the framework of the Estonian recovery plan from the European Union's Recovery and Resilience Fund (RRF) and is aimed at implementing green technology development programs. #Cleantech #EnergyInnovation #ClimateResilience #Startups #Estonia

A reminder about the ongoing apply & fly phase for our joint "Energy | Climate Focus" program with Baltic Innovation Agency & Sparkup Tartu Science Park! That's the impact pre-seed & seed startups are looking for, right? We are looking for startups not only from Estonia - your company can be from anywhere, but indeed, you'll need to establish a legal entity in Estonia. Luckily, with the e-Residency program, it’s not difficult. We're gathering the best startups in the energy sector in one place & we'll support them on their path to success. And, of course, ensure that all this also benefits Estonia. 🚀Advancing automation with computer vision 🚀 You recently read about two AI training sessions held in the framework of the Twinnovation project. We're pleased to announce that AI is extremely popular! 💡Our team in Valmiera listened about computer vision and automation with Andris Zuravlovs from Apply, who provided valuable insights into where and how AI solutions can be used in your business. Here are some examples: 🐣Precise digital information for manufacturers: Obtain detailed characteristics of each egg, enabling farmers to monitor bird health and physical condition in each barn. Process up to 42 eggs per second! 🔎Self-Service Solutions: Implement AI systems to detect damaged glass containers at self-service cash registers in bistros. 🛏️Automated Laundry Monitoring: Use computer vision-powered systems to monitor laundry folding conveyor belts, automatically removing damaged or poorly washed sheets. If you'd like to learn more, check out our training session video, which goes into greater detail. https://lnkd.in/dfUMbrcQ #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #BusinessInnovation #TwinnovationProject #FutureTech #AITraining #DigitalTransformation #SmartSolutions

Will AI change my life❓ We all know that AI has the potential to make our lives much easier, but only if we know how to harness its power! 🤖 The Twinnovation project recently hosted two training sessions on AI that gave us a better overview of what are the potential uses of AI. Training sessions were led by Latvian company Helve. 💡 Interesting things we learned: 🔸AI in text processing: reading files, generating ideas, ceating emails and text 🔸Video and audio generation: creating videos using AI, including voice-over, automatic creation of slides 🔸Identifying potential process streamlining in organizations 🔸Organizational data analysis and AI assistants 🔸Practical examples of AI pilot project implementation 🎥 If you'd like to hear more about these topics, check out our training session videos, which go into more detail. #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #Innovation #Training #BusinessSolutions #TwinnovationProject #FutureTech

At the end of May, we gathered social innovation policymakers, experts, and stakeholders simultaneously in 🇸🇪 Stockholm, 🇪🇪 Tallinn, 🇱🇻 Riga, and 🇱🇹 Vilnius at our hybrid Scaling Social Innovations event. 🚀 We had two days of engaging panel discussions, facilitated by our amazing event moderator Nicklas Wallberg, and a practical exchange of knowledge and cross-border collaboration. 👥 ♾️ Social entrepreneur and our alumni Amir Sajadi, journalist and entrepreneur Camilla Bergman, and social economy expert Mart Veliste had an insightful conversation on how to bridge the gap between the traditional and the impact innovation ecosystems. 💼 Ylva Strander from the Swedish Innovation Agency Vinnova and Kai Klandorf from Riigikantselei / Government Office of Estonia shared best practices on taking an idea to policy and how other social innovation actors can collaborate with public officials. 🇪🇺 European Commission experts Michael Grosse and Gorka Espiau Idoiaga shared updates about the National Competency Centers for Social Innovation. 📍 We had in-depth discussions on the local social innovation ecosystems in Sweden and the Baltics, and on what’s needed in order to create more collaborations and impact. ❗ Some key takeaways: 💡 There is a reduction in venture capital, but impact investing is gaining momentum, opening space for new funding opportunities. There’s a growing need for a united impact management system so that we can invest in and scale the solutions that work. 💡It’s very important how you package your idea. Be clear and concise, and tailor your messaging to your target group—be it investors, community, clients, or policymakers. 💡 All actors - from traditional to social entrepreneurs and policymakers - share a common drive and intention. We need to find the similarities and collaborate across sectors. 🤝 We organized Scaling Social Innovations in partnership with the Baltic Innovation Agency, Social Enterprise Estonia and Katalista Ventures, as part of the Integrated Baltic Ecosystem for Social Innovation (IBESI) project, funded by the European Union through the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA). 💥 Stay tuned for more in-depth learnings from the conversations! 📷 Lumeah Photography #socialinnovation #ecosystemdevelopment #baltics #sweden #socialentrepreneurship #collaborateforimpact #partneringforchange
