The Federal Government requires reviews of benefits from some programs to ensure the eligibility/ineligibility decision was correct and identify program improvements. If you are receiving or have received SNAP benefits, Medical assistance, TANF or LIEAP, it is possible the benefits may be randomly selected for review.
If the benefits you received from one of the programs is randomly selected for review, you will be contacted by a Quality Compliance and Improvement Specialist. The contact could be a letter, survey, telephone call or personal visit. If the benefits being reviewed have a cooperation requirement, the requirement will be explained to you.
Any problems identified in the Quality Control review are reported to the appropriate program. Information learned during the reviews are used to improve processes, improve customer service, prevent future errors and develop necessary corrective action plans.
