a light set of boat rules
Build, make & run boats, crews, and adventures in a post-collapse Great Lakes.

the third coast refers to two games: Duskheap Beacons and Eco Mofos. They contain more ideas, mechanics, and bigger frameworks. As such it also is compatible with Into the Odd & Cairn families of games. Adapt to your system!
(Pssst, it's a story of Pall62’s expedition from The Gary Hulks to The Falls)

- Boat logs (character sheets) in two styles
- Sample boats to use or encounter
- A quick crew generator
- 12 full page coastal point crawl locations, descriptions, encounters, and connections
- A variety of new creatures
- So many ideas for a post-collapse world on 22 spreads!
Downloads include both a pdf and a .txt version of the zine (,txt version forthcoming)
Design, Printing and Details
The project is part of the larger Duskheap Beacons collection and is laid out to be printed on portrait oriented A4/letter sized sheets, hole-punch in each corner, and then added to the core rules, Detroit Sounds source book and The Hive of the Scalder adventure. If you are interested in a print copy with a custom cover, they are available through a zine-exchange. Send me something you made and I'll send you a copy, free as can be.
As a designer with a significant visual disability I work primarily with text, leaving aside art and other elements I can neither parse nor focus on. Let me know if you need accessibility support beyond what is offered here: dodocahedron.games [a] gmail
