Last week my colleague Denise Goldby, Executive MBA, CBS and I had the opportunity to visit one of our key suppliers, ABB in Porvoo, Finland. Truly an extraordinary factory experience!   #ABB in Porvoo is a net-zero factory, using 100% renewable energy via geothermal systems, energy recycled from production as well as solar powered plants. 🌞 We were stunned by all the energy-saving solutions in their factory, by the recycling of plastic production waste and vast water savings in the production line. For one of the products, the water usage in the production was reduced by 90 litres for every single product! A product Solar of course has available for our customers. 🙂   Well done, ABB Porvoo! 👏 Impressive efforts to reduce carbon emissions and saving resources.

Solar Smart Supply helps organise and simplify your material flow. 💪 When Westman El takes on an office project out of the ordinary, our Smart Supply solution is of great benefit: ✔️ Organised stock ✔️ Smooth product flow ✔️ A place to lock up tools that are not in use During a large renovation project in central Gothenburg, Westman El is doing the electrical installations. They have Smart Supply cabinets from Solar on site, which contain all the materials they need. All the bins have barcodes that the electricians can easily scan to reorder materials using their smartphone. - As soon as we see that something is running low, I just scan the barcode, and we get it delivered and refilled the next day. It's as flexible as it gets, and if something is more urgent, we can always order a Fastbox, says Alexander Martinsson, who is the lead fitter. He continues: - What I perhaps appreciate the most about the cabinet, however, is that it makes it so easy to keep order. Everything has its place, instead of having lots of different boxes spread over half the workplace. Another advantage of the Smart Supply cabinet is that it can be locked, and thus used as tool storage when the fitters are not on site. With our Smart Supply solutions, you can spend less time looking for and buying materials, and instead spend your time where it gives real value. Smart Supply is based on a system of storage bins that are labelled with text, images and barcodes. The customer can then easily scan the barcode to receive a refill when something is running low.
