For yesterday's One Health Day, we’re spotlighting "Gather", a powerful film that captures the interconnectedness of health, environment, and cultural identity. The film showcases Native American communities reclaiming food sovereignty as a path to healing. Through ancestral practices, scientific research, and environmental activism, they nourish not only bodies, but entire ecosystems. 🐟 Through the stories presented in the film, we see the vital link between restoring land and revitalizing community health. --- In 2022, the Global Health Film Days Festival screened the film at Copenhagen's Cinemateket. The film was followed by a fruitful debate with activists and experts on the topic (pictured below). You can watch the full debate here: https://buff.ly/4ea5a5s 🔗

New article: "Learning from memories and experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic for the future" 🌎 Researchers Emmanuel Raju, Anne Bach Nielsen and Suchismita Goswami recently published a paper on the memorialisation of COVID-19: "Memorialisation is often a political process, as these representations are highly influenced by the imaginations and voices of the privileged sections of a population. Similarly, post COVID-19, there are many examples of memoralisation in museums, exhibitions and many digital platforms. However, it is important to ask- whose voices are represented in this process of memory making?" Read more here: https://buff.ly/4dWqStN 🔗
