🌿 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞-𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 🌿 Yesterday we hosted the last event before summer with a full house on Forum for Real Estate Data - an open forum where proptech providers & core real estate came together to identify some of the main data related challenges in real estate today - and explored possible solutions. Some key take aways from the event were: ⚡️𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭 - there are still overall challenges with understanding which data is relevant, how to obtain it & how to best utilise it in decision making processes & business models. ⚡️𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭? Are you focusing primarily on quality of data or is your main focus contextualisation and translation of that data. There’s a lot of value in learning about different perspectives to be able to have a common understanding of challenges and needs… leading to the final take-away from yesterday: ⚡️ 𝐀 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞 & 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚 will make the conversation and also the change much easier. We’re nearing summer, and both the 2024 Olympics and the UEFA European Football Championship are kicking off; for many Danes with the dream of repeating the 1992 football triumph. 🏆 As you may have read in the OpEd in Børsen yesterday, 1992 also marked the introduction of the EU energy label. And while the results of the championships are yet to be revealed, the future is already here when it comes to regulatory demands. The EU Directive 2024/1275 is in place, and with that also a set timeline for renovation passports - and within a few years retiring entire parts of the energy label-alphabet. This calls for implementing and developing a digital strategy to meet regulatory demands - and to stay on the playing field! ⚽ The 2024 Danish PropTech Report shows that the green transition is now considered the stand-out challenge in the real estate industry. A strategic, structured - and safe - approach to data is a necessity when it comes to reporting requirements from banks, regulators, suppliers, and buyers. However, the report also revealed that while a record 50% now has a digital strategy, that still leaves half with the risk of being left behind. Now’s the time to act.
