📢 Maersk continued to deliver strong business performance in the third quarter with growth across all business segments and financial results significantly above last year. On the back of the strong quarter combined with robust container market demand and the continuation of the Red Sea situation, on October 21 we upgraded our guidance for 2024. 🚢 Ocean delivered substantially increased profitability and responded to the recurring network disruptions with high agility by leveraging our hub terminals and investing in capacity and equipment to mitigate the supply chain impact on our customers. 🚚 Logistics & Services delivered a strong quarter with revenue growth due to increased volumes across most product families and continued steady recovery of profitability. 🏗️ Terminals continued to deliver strong revenue growth, particularly in North America where volume remained strong. 📢 We’re thrilled to announce that the new terminal in Rijeka, Croatia has received the first two of its four ship-to-shore (STS) cranes! 🏗️ These impressive cranes, manufactured by ZPMC, arrived by sea, creating a spectacular sight for residents and onlookers alike. In a tribute to the region’s rich history, the cranes have been named after four remarkable women, including the first Croatian to win a medal at the Summer Olympic Games. This initiative was part of a recent campaign that engaged local residents through a survey. Additionally, the quay where the cranes are installed will be named the Square of Powerful Women of Rijeka 🇭🇷   "It is amazing to see the cranes finally here in Rijeka. After months of preparation, the rubber finally hits the road with gradual arrival of our new equipment. We are really starting to resemble the new terminal and gateway to the region, and it’s super exciting!” shares Peter Corfitsen, CEO of Rijeka Gateway.   The new terminal, a joint venture between APM Terminals and its Croatian partner ENNA, is set to become operational in 2025 and is expected to become the gateway to the East Adriatic and Central Europe thanks to its strategic location. #Rijeka #Containerterminal #Croatia #Tribute #Maersk
