Presenting the innovative femtech prototypes from our workshop and seminar!
Our femtech workshop and seminar was all about bringing together creative minds, innovators, and tech enthusiasts to prototype meaningful technology where the sky was the limit (thank you, FabLab RUC).
Our amazing participants brainstormed, generated ideas, and prototyped throughout the day and we want to show you what brilliant designs they built; from early paper prototypes to higer fidelity electronic and 3D-printed prototypes.
Team “menopause tech” developed early explorations of a device which could be for both pleasure, exercise and expressing comfort or discomfort. Data from measuring kegel exercises is transformed into a statement necklace, with lights showing the world how you are doing in your day with your menopause symptoms. This group was all about empowering women and breaking taboos around menopause
Team “scoliosis tech” developed a prototype for a diagnostic chair with pressure points to measure your posture. These can track you movement to see if you’re leaning more to one side during the day, which might indicate scoliosis. Young girls with scoliosis are often diagnosed very late and are more frequently in need of surgery. We were impressed that the team discovered this need and quickly developed a solution for it.
