At Hello Ada, we are all about gratitude and expressing our thanks. As we prepare our next #thankyouparents series we also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the volunteers and interns who have significantly contributed to Hello Ada over the past seven months. First up, we have Wei Z., our former Data Intern, who helped establish our partnership database: "This is Wei. Born and raised in China, my academic journey has taken me across continents to Sweden and Denmark. Despite not being a math prodigy in my early years, I discovered an unexpected passion for tech after completing my Bachelor's degree. This newfound interest led me to pursue a degree in Data Science, where I immersed myself in the fascinating realms of AI and cutting-edge machine learning. With my parents' unwavering support and the aid of modern learning tools, I am now ready and eager to start the next chapter of my professional career." #ThankYou #HelloAda

Planting a seed! In today’s rapidly evolving world, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are at the forefront of innovation. Despite this, women remain underrepresented in these fields, a disparity that often begins in childhood. Today my daughter - who is a game fanatic - attended a design hackathon organized by Hello Ada and Netcompany and created her own game by designing the rules, the graphics, the features that should be added to make it even more exciting. Exposing these young girls to STEM is about empowering them with the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to succeed. Thank you Nermeen Louizi Ghoniem, I hope we planted a seed!

💫 I februar lancerede vi i Netcompany vores Roblox spil 'Glampus High'. Vi udviklede spillet med håbet om at kunne gøre unge piger mere interesserede i science og teknologi, da der desværre er tendens til, at piger mister interessen for STEM fagene meget tidligt. Og det er et langt sejt træk! Vi udvikler løbende spillet sammen med diverse partnere, og selvfølgelig også i samarbejde med eksperterne selv - pigerne. Nu har vi teamet op med Hello Ada - et vidensunivers for forældre, der ønsker at inspirere deres piger til at udforske STEM. Sammen inviterer vi til et event d. 11. juni, hvor piger og deres forældre kan få lov til at designe deres egne mini-games til 'Glampus High'. A very warm welcome to Nermeen Louizi Ghoniem to the Tinyfarms board of directors! Nermeen has been following and collaborating with us from a very early stage, and given us invaluable along the way. As a founder of Hello Ada, she dedicates her time to teach girls and their parents about new technologies, namely AI. We’re very certain that with her help we’ll be able to reach even more aspiring young climate scientists and engineers!

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve joined the board of directors of Tinyfarms alongside David Johan Christensen and Esben Stærk. Tinyfarms is a hardware and software learning platform where students explore plant growth and life cycles in a digital greenhouse. They provide hands-on learning experiences that help students understand biology, ecology, and sustainability from seed sprouting to full bloom. The cofounder, Samy, and I have known each other since our days at the French School in Copenhagen, where I was a couple of years ahead of him. I’ve closely followed his inspiring journey ever since. Then seven months ago, we had our very first Hello Ada event with Tinyfarms. Hello Ada, my passion project, is dedicated to teaching parents and girls about new technologies. This collaboration makes my new role even more special. Today I’m excited to support Tinyfarms in inspiring the next generation of scientists and environmentalists. #Tinyfarms #STEM #EdTech

The online game Roblox attracts over 50 million daily users worldwide, with roughly half being girls. This is why we are thrilled to announce that Hello Ada is partnering with Netcompany on the next iteration of 'Glampus High,' a digital learning universe within Roblox designed to inspire middle school girls in STEM. Our collaboration aims to spark girls' interest in science and technology by co-creating educational mini-games that combine fun with learning. Join us for a fun-filled event on the 11th of June where girls aged 7-12 and their parents can design their own mini-games for 'Glampus High': https://lnkd.in/eF7uVxnA Why? Despite equal early interest in STEM, only 27% of STEM jobs are held by women. 'Glampus High' aims to change this by providing an engaging platform where girls can learn and interact, fostering essential skills for their future. This mission closely aligns with our goals at Hello Ada, a knowledge universe for parents to support their girls' interest in STEM through events, podcasts, STEM toys reviews and other resources. About Hello Ada: In 2022, women made up only 33% of new IT enrollees in Denmark, a modest rise since 2016. As Danish companies face a projected shortage of 22,000 IT professionals by 2030, bridging the gender gap is crucial. Hello Ada aims to close this gap by educating parents and motivating girls. We had a blast at our recent event with Trifork at their CodeNode Copenhagen office! We teamed up to introduce parents and kids to the magic of AI image generation and the future of playgrounds. 🎨 Amazing role models from Trifork's UX and AI teams shared their inspiring journeys as women in tech. Their stories left us all feeling inspired and empowered! The creativity was flowing as families received different cards to spark their imagination about the playground of the future. A few weeks back, we had an amazing event with our friends from Manyone. Parents and kids teamed up, unleashing their creativity to build the cities of tomorrow.
