🚀 US Early-Stage Acceleration Kick-off 🚀 This week, I was in Boston to kick-off Heka VR participation in MassChallenge Early Stage Cohort! Over the next 3 months we will be part of an HealthTech program designed to kickstart our US journey by giving us access to US mentors, peers and customers. Very excited about the program and big shout out to Innovation Center Denmark - Boston who helped us throughout the visit and connected us with the amazing ecosystem over here. 500 Projects, 2,500 workshops Few agencies are more active and experienced producing VR, AR, and 360 video production. Episode 29 of MetaRick we talk to Simon Max Bloch Lajboschitz, CEO at Khora Virtual Reality about how he got involved in the XR community in Denmark, started their agency from a VR Arcade, and some specific examples of their groundbreaking work with XR for medicine. Immersive technologies have been used for quite some time to reduce the need for pain medication, and for a variety of mental health applications. Creating empathy for domestic violence victims, exposure therapy. In addition to all of the workshops and work for brands, Khora also invests a great deal into innovation for these medical use cases. Specifically, HekaVR for treating auditory hallucinations really grabbed my attention. This is a great example of something that simply cannot be achieved without full immersion in a VR headset.
