Oh what a day - what a wonderful day! Not only because it is Friday but because we got some new gear to work with. Today we started our new 10 kw fiber laser (with a 6 x 2,5 m table). The first piece of steel cut in the machine is going straight into production of a concrete plant for a long-time customer. So the investment is already starting to pay itself off.

This is so cool!!! 😎 We have started installation of our latest investment: A brand-new laser cutter from Trumpf in Switzerland with a 6x2,5 m table. This new laser can cut through up to 30 mm steel and it will operate at the double speed of our current laser (which will continue to produce). The installation is expected to last 2 weeks.

🌞⛱       It is summertime again       🌧☔ The weather is - as always – unpredictable in Denmark   But regardless of the weather, we all enjoy (and maybe even need) a few weeks of holiday, and… regardless of the weather… we know that these weeks will pass quickly, as they always do. We are certain that only very few will rightfully say that they were bored during their holiday.    Many of you probably know that 2024 is an anniversary year here at Haarup. We celebrate that 60 years ago in 1964, Ole Christensen had the idea for a paving stone machine and founded Haarup Maskinfabrik.   A lot has happened since then. We have been on a historical journey, and we are very pleased with the development that Haarup has undergone over the years.   To celebrate the anniversary, we have planned several events. Saturday June 08th, the celebrations started with an Open House event. Lindy Aldahl (known from the TV show "Rigtige Mænd" – well, he is probably best known in Denmark) performed at lunchtime and really had us crying with laughter. Like many times in the past hot dogs were served from Trosborg's food stand throughout the event. Ole would have enjoyed the day, and we did. A really nice day indeed.   Finally, a practical note: even though it is holiday time, our offices are still open and staffed. We don't go on holiday at the same time meaning you can reach us as always. 👉   2 days ago was one of our very special days  👈   Erling Møller celebrated his 50th anniversary 🥂🍻   It was one of those days that you don't get to enjoy very often, and therefore it was truly memorable. Erling has been with us at Haarup Maskinfabrik for 50 years now. It makes us both happy and proud.   Erling is the person to ask if you're looking for answers to well yes... anything. He has seen everything, tried everything and remembers everything, and due to his friendly nature, he has always been the natural centre of attention for all colleagues.   Erling gave a speech on Monday, offering a little insight into "the time that passed." On Thursday morning, June 17th 1974 he parked his 4-gear Everton moped against the wall of the Haarup workshop, went inside and started working as an unskilled worker - a job he conveniently got because he needed money for his summer holiday, which was scheduled for the following month. And then he stayed because he liked it here. About half a year later, he was offered an apprenticeship, time flew, and then he could call himself a trained blacksmith. Erling has worked many years both as a blacksmith, but also as a travelling fitter, and he has really travelled the world. The stories he can tell. 😉 For the past 12 years, Erling has worked as Spare Parts Manager during which our customers have really benefited from his vast expertise.   Erling was both honoured and celebrated on June 17th, and he most certainly deserved it. And today, 2 days later, we can share more happy news with you: fortunately, Erling has no plans to retire just yet. Many of us consider this to be yet another reason to celebrate. 😁   Congratulations Erling, thank you for your hard work and dedication throughout the years.
