Fokus Nordic wins tender round on asset management for Velliv Properties, PensionDanmark Properties and Lægernes Pension Following a structured process, Fokus Nordic has won a major tender round for the management of two property portfolios for Velliv Pension Properties, PensionDanmark Properties and @Lægernes Pension. The agreement that has been entered into covers a broad portfolio of part of the pension companies' portfolio of properties, mainly offices, logistics and housing, distributed across the country with a total AuM of almost DKK 7 billion. "It is not very often that pension funds change management of their properties, so we are incredibly proud to have won this tender in open competition," says Michael Rønnelund, COO at Fokus Nordic. "It is an exciting task we are facing, and the plan is to start the administrative work no later than 1 January 2025." During the tender process, Fokus Nordic has presented a proven and recognized management setup with a long management history of both regulated and unregulated real estate funds, which has led the pension funds to choose Fokus Nordic. Fokus Nordic continues to grow within an in-house full-service concept, where customers only need to go to one place with their management tasks. Fokus Nordic and the German asset manager, Union Investment, expands cooperation and have just signed another agreement. This time, Fokus Nordic will be managing a new hotel as of June 2024. The hotel is located on the Island of Christiansholm, also known as Paper Island few minutes from central Copenhagen. The hotel is a flagship project and is part of the hotel chain; Hotel 25hours. It has 128 rooms and a rooftop bar overlooking the harbor. Michael Rønnelund, COO Denmark at Fokus Nordic expresses his delight to expand collaboration with Union Investment and adds, “we are extremely pleased to expand this partnership and this new hotel fits perfectly into our portfolio of properties. We are proud of our colleagues at Heimdal Nordic who today announced the launch of their first debt fund, Heimdal Credit Fund, providing financing to the professional Danish real estate market. The developments we have seen in the USA and Europe have also reached the Nordic region – including Denmark. The share of real estate financing from sources other than traditional ones, typically local lenders such as banks and mortgage institutions, is increasing. Over the past few years, Heimdal Nordic have built a robust track record in direct lending to residential, office, and logistics properties in Denmark, primarily senior loans and occasional construction financings.
