Energy Efficiency upgrades carried out at FAYARD. Improving the vessel’s efficiency as contribution towards net zero greenhouse gas emission for the entire Hapag-Lloyd AG fleet in 2045. Trusted by Hapag Lloyd, FAYARD conducts the 7-vessel upgrades in terms of Wheelhouse raising, Lashing bridge elevations and exchange of the vessel’s propeller. FAYARD has already upgraded 6 of the 7 vessels and the last in the series is set to start soon. Each container transported by the vessels has onwards a significantly lower environmental impact and the vessels fuel consumption is now notable reduced. Nudging the coming generation to go Maritime. As a part of our local supporting of the rising generation to go the maritime way, we often have visits from the local schools and colleges, as well as we support the relevant educational maritime directions by having 10% of our employees as apprentices. We are thrilled to welcome the latest addition to Uni-Tankers own fleet – the Fionia Swan! As part of our ongoing commitment to renew our fleet with new, energy-efficient tonnage, the Fionia Swan with a CII rating of A, is now proudly sailing under the Danish flag. On Wednesday, August 14th, 2024, our new Uni-Tankers crew arrived at Fayard, marking the beginning of this exciting chapter. At 5 pm, the vessel was officially reflagged from Malta to Denmark, and technical management was handed over to Uni-Tankers. CEO Per Ekmann was present for the flag-changing ceremony, a moment of pride and tradition, followed by a well-deserved celebration onboard with a delicious dinner served by Munkebo Kro. 🚢 TORM Strong came by Denmark for a visit! ⚓ TORM Strong, one of our seven S-class vessels, was in dry dock for the commencement of the first special survey and departed on 14 July 2024 from the shipyard. As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we upgraded the navigational equipment during the dry dock stay. The hull was fully hydro-blasted and coated with energy-saving silicon-based paint. 🌍 🌊 We installed and commissioned energy-optimizing projects during the drydocking, including a Mewis duct for the propeller and Connected Machinery, which is the onboard aspect of our IT system for fuel efficiency. 🌟Thank You to Our Crew🌟 We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Captain Mads, Chief Engineer Rasmus, and the entire team on board for their exceptional work and dedication in ensuring the safe completion of the dry dock. Another #CBED vessel ready to embark on new adventures! Wind Creation has already set sails for the Netherlands, and today the SOV and our crew joins commissioning on an offshore wind farm for the new walk-to-work project with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. During the past week in the Netherlands, Wind Creation and her crew have been testing and adjusting the newly installed UPTIME INTERNATIONAL AS gangway to ensure a smooth operation during the entire project. Before that, the SOV has been drydocked at FAYARD A/S in Denmark for fully refurbishing both outside and inside to fit with the rest of the CBED fleet. In addition to painting her in CBED colours and installing the new gangway, this work has also included a major overhaul to all critical equipment such as crane and engines.   We wish all our crew members and our first Wind Creation project partner the best start to the project. 📷 by Kasper Fuglsang 👏 #offshoreexperience #fleetupdate
