EMPLOYEE TAKEOVER: Meet Nicolai - Newly hatched blacksmith at CS WIND Offshore 👨🏭🙌 “I wanted an education, and came across blacksmithing. Since then I haven't looked back. I have completed my entire training at CS WIND Offshore. It has been great. I have been away a lot of my apprenticeship. I spent six months at Lindø - and went to Spain three times working at a subcontractor. I am incredibly privileged to have been given the opportunity to go.” This is how Nicolaj Pedersen Ry tells about his just completed apprenticeship, and the fact that he has now finished his blacksmith training. Nicolaj began his apprenticeship at CS WIND Offshore (Bladt Industries at the time) four years ago. He was twenty at that time. Today, at the age of 24, he can call himself a blacksmith. And the apprenticeship test? A bio fireplace that can stand in the home and be put to use👋 The apprenticeship test took place over nine days - and the task had to embrace both bending, rolling, cutting burning - and three welding processes. Nicolai could not have done better. The grade was 12 (the highest grade given)👏 Big congratulations from us here at CS WIND Offshore🎉🌟 Nicolai is already well underway, working on the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project 🌊 📸 Nicolai with his apprenticeship test - a bio fireplace. Together with Hans Ole Sannes, Apprentice Responsible at CS WIND Offshore. It might not be that evident from the picture, but Hans Ole is really proud 😃

"We need the hands, both as a company, but also as a society. We want to show that there is hope and opportunities - we all have a background. There is no doubt that some of them got a boost of self-confidence and new hope. It was a good feeling when I drove home yesterday," says Morten Falck Sørensen, Group Lead at CS WIND Offshore. Yesterday, Morten was in prison. Together with Trine Skibelund Jespersgaard from 'High:Five - Job for young people on the edge' he visited Kragskovhede Prison in Northern Jutland, Denmark to talk about the job opportunities at CS WIND Offshore. Opportunities that may be a long way off for some, but which are not impossible to achieve 👷🎇🔩🔧 👩🏭 👨🔧👩💼👨💼 The visit was part of Job Day, which High:five organizes in collaboration with the Danish Prison Service (Kriminalforsorgen) and companies that want to participate. Morten explained about CS Wind Offshore, facts about our company, what job opportunities there are, as well as our expectations 🙌 "I love working with CS WIND Offshore. They see opportunities in each individual, and manage to make each person grow. The ones that are working there say that they are happy with the workplace. You are part of the team, and not the guy from "High Five"/ the former criminal. CS WIND Offshore has clear and distinct communication, and are easy to talk with. You feel like part of the company when you visit them, and when the young people meet with them. We've had a few who initially couldn't cope with an apprenticeship, but CS WIND Offshore are good at making them grow, build on their self-confidence, and yes, so far two are apprenticed as blacksmiths and one more on the way," says Senior Consultant Trine S. Jespersgaard at High:five, Northern Jutland. At CS WIND Offshore, we are happy about the collaboration with High:five, and can proudly say that we have seven colleagues who are employed through High:five. A collaboration we have had since 2019. With this story, we hope to inspire others to think along similar lines when it comes to the workforce of the future. High five from us 👋 📸 Trine, High:five, Morten from CS WIND Offshore, Barbara who is the business and education coordinator at Kragskovhede, Heidi who is a supervisor at Kragskovhede & Kim from Dekra. #WeCare #Challenge & #Change #Offshorewind

Employee takeover: Meet Gulled, and learn what energizes him 🙌 “It has given me a whole new level of energy, and it makes me want to get up in the morning. I have found a certain peace in myself. If I am annoyed, it helps me during the day,” explains Gulled Jama, blacksmith apprentice at CS WIND Offshore, about the effect boxing has on him 🥊👋 "He is one of my guys now," says Lars Borup Hansen, Shop Floor Trainer at CS WIND Offshore, whom Gulled has worked with in the work shop. Gulled is one of our 22 apprentices who contribute every day to our production ✨    He has twenty boxing matches on his sports CV. The interest in boxing came when Gulled, as a 16-year-old in ninth grade, went with a friend:   “I showed up and got my gloves on - and was allowed to spar, and meet my coach, who said; “I’m beating you, I’m beating you” with a twinkle in his eye. After the coach (Sune Krog) sent me on my butt, he was quite surprised at my willpower. From there I got the name ‘Tyson’ for Mike Tyson. In that, I became completely de-stressed, and found out that I needed to go to sports.”   Corona put a temporary stop to the dream of competing in matches. But today, Gulled is 22 years old, has trained boxing for the last six years, and corona never ruined his motivation. He has now boxed matches for four years 👏   In March, Gulled won a great victory in his weight class of 57 kilos at the “Marner Boxgala” in Germany 🏆   And the future plans? Wind turbine production - or winner in the boxing ring? “We will see what the future brings,” Gulled concludes. Give Gulled a high five for the high level of energy, he comes to work with 👋🔋

First CVOW TP load in at Portsmouth Marine Terminal 🚢 🎉 Another milestone achieved😊 We were happy to attend the first successful load in of TPs for the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project taking place at Portsmouth Marine Terminal in the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA. April 24, MV Sun Rise departed from the quayside of CS WIND Offshore in Aalborg with 6 transition pieces. Weeks later, it was a great moment of joy to see them well received by Dominion Energy at the marshaling harbor 👷♂️ 👷♀️ The weather conditions during the load-in were favorable with low wind speed and clear skies allowing a smooth load-in operation 🙏 We will soon welcome MV Sun Rise back in Aalborg ready for the next round of transition piece transportation.

Esteemed visitors from the United States😊🌎 Last week, we had the distinct pleasure of hosting a delegation of U.S. Congress Members and Staffers. These encounters are far more than standard meetings; they’re an opportunity to showcase our company’s capabilities and to delve into the current thoughts, ideas, and interests within our international network. We value these visits for the depth they add to our partnerships and the shared commitment they foster towards advancing the energy transition offshore. We hope you had a fantastic time in Denmark! 👋
