🚢 Queen Anne's Maiden Call to Visby 🌊 After Queen Anne of Cunard's maiden call in Copenhagen last Thursday, she set sail for her first call at Visby port. She arrived at Visby last Saturday, greeted by clear blue skies and perfect conditions for passengers to explore Visby's medieval charm. 🏰 ☀️ Queen Anne was welcomed by CMP's Cruise Manager in Visby, Anna Sylvan, accompanied by Zineth Westermark from the Port of Visby and Jenny Hallkvist from STRÖMMA TURISM & SJÖFART AB. ⚓ Welcome to Copenhagen Queen Anne! ⚓ Today, we welcomed the beautiful ship Queen Anne of Cunard for the first time to Copenhagen. Queen Anne is the latest cruise ship in the Cunard fleet and was christened in Liverpool only a few weeks ago. She has a capacity of 2,996 guests, 1,225 crew, and a length of approximately 322 meters. 🚢 CMP’s Commercial Cruise Director, Luis de Carvalho, exchanged crests with the ship’s captain, David Hudson, as maritime tradition prescribes. 🛡 We look forward to welcoming the ship and the crew back to Copenhagen in August, and to Visby on her maiden call this Saturday. ⚓ All of Sweden’s core ports retain status in revised TEN-T Regulation ⚓   Sweden’s core ports welcome the revised regulation on European Union guidelines for the development of the trans-European transport network (TEN-T) adopted by the European Council in mid-June. All five of Sweden’s core ports retain their status in the network and thereby continue to play vital roles in the EU’s increased efforts to build a sustainable and robust European transport network.   🎤 “All five core ports have well-developed infrastructure and are integrated with road and rail networks. This contributes to the multimodality of the European transport network, making it possible to combine different modes of transport, thus improving logistical efficiency. That said, we still need to future-proof the ports’ transport infrastructure, not only to meet the EU’s requirements for efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness but also to ensure the preparedness of critical infrastructure. Having once again demonstrated our significance at European level, we hope to see more national political investments and initiatives designed to support sustainable, innovative investment in the Swedish core ports,” says Barbara Scheel Agersnap, CEO of Copenhagen Malmö Port.   Following the review of the TEN-T Regulation, the port in Copenhagen, retained its core port status in the TEN-T network as well.   🔗 Read the full press release here 👇

Last Friday, Coral Princess of Princess Cruises called Copenhagen for the first time. This beautiful ship has a capacity of 2000 guests and 895 crew and a length of 294 meters. Staff Captain Mauro Usai exchanged crests with CMP's Maritime Service Manager Morten Nygaard Rasmussen representing the port. Also present was CMP's Chief Commercial Officer Anders Lund Kristensen and Lennart Viðbjørg of CMP's cruise team - as well as our good colleagues from Blue Water Shipping: Pernille Marcussen, Morten Thorndahl Sillemann and Mathias Rønskov. 🛡️🛳️⚓ Anna Sylvan of CMP had the profound pleasure of welcoming Coral Princess in Visby last week also for the first time.
