Yesterday, at the Royal Festival Hall on London's South Bank, we were honoured to host a talk dedicated to Robin Day, delving into the history behind an iconic series of designs from 1951 that brought the British designer international acclaim. Held at the same renowned waterfront landmark for which one of Day's most notable collections was originally created, we invited our London community to explore the designer's artistic vision and the enduring relevance of his work. Moderated by Johanna Agerman Ross, Chief Curator at the Design Museum London, the talk explored the cultural significance of Day's designs, as well as those of his wife, textile designer Lucienne Day. Through an open dialogue with Paula Day, Els Van Hoorebeeck, Creative and Brand Director at &Tradition; and writer and editor Debika Ray, we discussed the contemporary revival of Day's designs and their relevance to a modern audience. A unique evening gaining insight into a truly remarkable designer, we'd like to thank everyone who joined us and made the event so memorable!
