At the 2019 UN Climate Week, Danish pension funds made a bold commitment to invest at least USD 65bn in Energy Transition assets by 2030. Fast forward 5 years, and we are proud to see that the sector is exceeding expectations, with AIP now recognised as a key player in delivering on this commitment. This week, at the 2024 UN Climate Week, our Chairman, Peter Damgaard Jensen, and Jon Johnsen, CEO of PKA, joined global industry leaders and other Danish pension fund CEOs to discuss how we can continue building momentum and unlock further capital for the climate transition. A significant milestone has been reached in our joint investment with Norges Bank, ACP | Allianz Capital Partners, and construction manager and Partner EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG. EnBW has installed all 64 foundations in He Dreiht, Germany’s largest offshore wind farm. Each foundation measures 70 meter and weigh around 1,350 metric tons. He Dreith is scheduled to start operations in late 2025 and will be providing green electricity to more than 1 million households.

We are thrilled to announce that Storebrand, a leading asset manager in the Nordics and a shareholder and investor in AIP since 2020, has acquired a majority stake in AIP. Our current shareholders, PKA, PenSam and the Partners will retain a minority stake. Since 2012, AIP, through its founder PKA, has invested EUR 7 bn in energy transition infrastructure. Today, we have a highly specialized platform with a team of 90 people operating from Copenhagen, London, Madrid, and New York. We have reached a point where we are ready to take the next step in our development so more investors can benefit from our industry and investment expertise to amplify our impact and the drive towards a net zero economy. Throughout this month, we have welcomed Allison and Christian to the AIP team.   Allison Metzak joined our Asset Management team as a Senior Asset Manager. Before joining our team, she held a position as Head of Asset Management Central Europe at Orsted.  She holds a B.Sc. in Economics from University of Ottawa, and an MA in Economics from The University of British Columbia.   Christian Foss Christoffersen joined our Finance team as a Finance Manager. Before joining our team he held a position as group financial controller at M. Goldschmidt Holding. Previously he held positions at Novo Holdings and PwC.  He holds an M.Sc. in Business Administration, Economics, and Auditing, from Copenhagen Business School.   Welcome to both of you!

We welcome Amanda as Head of Investor Relations. The appointment comes at an exciting time for AIP and is a natural continuation of the firm’s successful expansion. In April we have welcomed seven new Junior Analyst colleagues to our AIP team.  They have respectively joined our Investment, Asset Management, Business & IT Transformation, and Strategy & Investor relations teams.  Caroline will be supporting the Investment & Asset Management teams. She is currently pursuing a BSc in Business Administration and Sociology at Copenhagen Business School.      Emil will be supporting the Investment & Asset Management teams. He is currently pursuing a BSc in Economics and Business Administration at Copenhagen Business School.     Henrik will be supporting the Business & IT transformation team. He is currently pursuing an MSc in Business Administration and Information Systems and holds a BSc in IT and Information Systems from University of Agder.    Isak will be supporting the Investment & Asset Management teams. He is currently pursuing a BSc Economics and Business Administration at Copenhagen Business School.     Rasmus will be supporting the Strategy & Investor Relations team. He is currently pursuing a MSc Finance & Strategic Management at Copenhagen Business School and holds a BSc in Business Economics from Aalborg University.     Victor will be supporting the Investment & Asset Management teams. He is currently pursuing a BSc in Economics and Business Administration at Copenhagen Business School.     William will be supporting the Investment & Asset Management teams. He is currently pursuing a BSc in Economics and Business Administration at Copenhagen Business School.    They will partake in our continuously growing Junior Analyst team consisting of 27 part-time students spread across the whole AIP team.      A warm welcome to all of you!

Meet our Finance Manager Katrine. She is a part of our Finance team consisting of eight employees and has been a part of our team for four years. Finance handles the administration of both AIP Management P/S and our separate investments. Together, they work collaboratively to support each other in efficiently and effectively accomplishing tasks, which is something that Katrine also appreciates in her day-to-day tasks. Last week, we welcomed Anne and Sebastian. They are joining our Tax and Strategy & Investor Relations teams, respectively Anne Engsø Larsen is our new Senior Tax Manager. Before joining our team, she held a position as a Lead M&A Tax Specialist at Ørsted where she covered tax advisory, new country entries, structuring, and M&A transactions. Prior to this, she worked with M&A tax in PwC and international tax in Maersk Drilling. Anne holds an LL.M. in Law from University of Copenhagen and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (Finance) / HD (F) from CBS. Sebastian Fabrin is our new Junior Analyst in Strategy & Investor Relations. Before joining our team, he held a position as an academic intern at EQX Biome in New York. He has a BSc. in Business Administration, Concentration in Social Innovation & Management from Fordham Gabelli School of Business. Welcome!
