The External Affairs Team leads strategic communications and outreach activities for the Department of General Services (DGS) by ensuring that essential information about the nature and impact of DGS activities, programs, services, and events are accessible and delivered through multiple communications channels to stakeholders and the public.

The External Affairs Team promotes the agency by developing and implementing clear, consistent, and engaging strategies that enhance the public understanding of DGS, its services, programs and events, and its value to District of Columbia residents. It supports the agency by creating and publishing materials vital to the agency's mission to inform and educate the District residents about the agency.
