Nextbot Graveyard
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Munci has lost their children in the graveyard and needs your help finding them.
Use your portable radio and careful listening skills to track them all down. But be warned, as dangerous nextbots will be lurking on other radio channels and are ready to rise from the grave...
Complete all of Munci's stages to collect all 5 gifts!
Note: This game's primary mechanic centers around audio cues and careful listening. Unfortunately, those who are hard-of-hearing will not be able to enjoy this experience.

oyun multi mi???
the png mall demo is amazing, great job :)
Thanks, could you actually either write a small explanation of what happened as you played and what you were thinking, doing, and were confused about as you played? If you could post this on the YouTube community post comment OR email me at [email protected], I would greatly appreciate it. : ) So far I haven't had anyone play while I was watching, so a written summary is the best I'll get until then.
I will send you an email about everything
how are you doing man? It's been a long time and I hope you are doing great :) Btw how is png mall going, I can't wait to play it!
I'm good! A fun demo and a video will be out soon, just keep an eye out on the YouTube channel. Making full-sized games is slow and hard, I'll leave it at that haha
Hi Derndeff! I recently discovered your channel through PNG Mall. I have it wishlisted on Steam and am really excited for it! Could we expect to hear some news on it soon? :)
Hey there! I have enough polished and put together right now for a demo, but there's a few more things I'm currently adding to make the demo a fully, more cohesive experience. I'm also going to make a new trailer and do a little rebranding for the game to make it more marketable, and then I'll make a video and release the demo (all of this is a lot of work for marketing!). At the very latest, there will be a demo out for Steam's October next fest (with a YouTube video), but I would expect to hear sooner. I will likely put together a discord and announce that probably on a YouTube community post so that people can help play test.
I could have released stuff earlier, but I've never made a full game before and I'm worried Steam users have a bit of a higher quality expectation, haha. I'm also banking a fair bit of marketing strategy on YouTube gaming videos, so I want the demo to be a great reflection and a good tease of what the game has to offer. I'm playing it safe on the quality and polish end, and it means I'm a bit slower than I'd like lol.
Thanks for reaching out!
Yo, thanks for the response! I'm glad the game is still being worked on! I was actually wondering earlier if you had a Discord for the game. Will definitely be joining! Really excited for the full release! :D
Thoughts on having a video "Essay" on your game?
Are you wanting to make one? If so, feel free, and I'm happy to answer any questions : )
Yeah absolutely. I'm still making the script on the video so I'd be glad to ask you questions if needed. I didn't really expect you to reply, so it's appreciated.
my email is [email protected] if you need anything, the only thing I don't keep up on as diligently are YouTube comments. I'll have a demo for a new game soon(ish) if you want more material to analyze and critique!
Thanks!

Derndeff when will you release your next game? im asking cuz im curious
a video is going out Friday morning but for a playable horror game, I don't have a definite answer unfortunately. for early-release game testing stuff, I should probably have both regular and lightweight versions, right?
I think having both versions seems to be a good idea, because if someone would play the regular version and have a bad performance on it then they would have an option to switch to the lightweight version, however wouldn't it also be a good idea to make a single universal version that has best of both ? (if it's possible)
Why? Well i don't have any game dev experience so my opinion is based solely on my thoughts but i still want to share my opinion because it may be helpful
so, imo making a single universal version of the game is a good idea, because i think it may be better and more time efficient for the long run than - - - - - - - - - - - - -
(i'm assuming that you'd make the regular version first and then make the lightweight version)
- > making the regular version first and then the lightweight version of it
because for example updating a single universal version would be probably faster and perhaps easier
than in the case of updating the regular and lightweight versions because if my assumption is correct you'd first have to update the regular version then make a lightweight version of it.
I'll be looking forward to watching your new video
I SAW YOU ON YOUTUBE HI
hi

This game was freakin amazing!!! So scary, so fun, you won't believe what happened!
Would you consider ever adding multiplayer? Me and my friends really like the game but we can't play it together. I feel like multiplayer would be a really cool thing to include!
I found a bug. You can jump through the wall at the start because not only they lack spikes, they also lack invisible walls. Going back to the main menu fixed the bug. Also here's me talking to Munci outside the gates.
This game deserves to be on steam tbh 👍💯
creator. please give me the music link to this video at 29:06 now.
nvm i found it

Well, I had a really fun time playing this game. Very a unique game and an amazing idea involving the next bots. This is how it should be played with the next bots.
this game was very good I had a great experience with playing this game you should do more nextbots games
This game should be on the top List! it's a good game. would love more.
you should add multiplayer !
it doesnt say run anyway
Hi there, did you click on "more info" and "run anyway" isn't listed as an option? If so, I would recommend downloading the itch app and installing the game through there (similar to Steam) https://itch.io/app
can somebody help me, it doesnt work for me.
Download doesn't work for me, Tried 3~4 times and it seems to always terminate at like 147 ish MB into the download (1.0.2 Windows 538 MB)
I have been on a Itch.io downloading spree, downloaded like 16 games and this is not only the only one to fail once, but it fail three times so I am thinking MAYBE I am not the problem
Definitely nothing on my end, however, I would recommend you try out itch's desktop app if you're having issues and not already using it. It's similar to Steam and I thought it worked quite well when I tried it: https://itch.io/app
that is all iv got
oh and add maps to chose
and add multiplayer
;)
add a phone insted of a radio
this is a pretty great game ngl, I have some couple suggestions/ideas:
That is all I have.
Great suggestions, I think these are good notes. Having more clear and more often reminders on the mechanics/tips in a non-obstructive way is definitely something I've learned going forward.
I've gotten several suggestions for difficulty customization and having a customizable experience for those who want more enjoyment out of the game is definitely something I'll be adding to my next game!
I think I'm content with the flaws of this game (at this point, it's not worth the effort adding more stuff/fixes instead of making a new, better game). I think you'll really enjoy my next game!
Thanks for playing!
In future, can u add multiplayer mod? This game is sooo good!
how can you play this
Hi Dernderf the games fantastic but I have this bug where I keep walking backwards no matter what and it's a bit annoying to play with but other than that the games fun!
Hi, I might have something that could fix this, would you be willing to help test something for me? if so, please email me at [email protected]
Is it possible to swap out the radio shutting down with just the radio powering on sound but well, shutting down? The current sound is kind of ear piercing when you got the sound even on medium, and well you need to listen. Thanks!
I will keep this in mind for the future, thanks for letting me know! it's definitely a high-pitched crackling sound so I can see it being a bit piercing (and some people's headphones probably make this worse!)
After watching your video on how you made it, i must say good job my guy! you did a fantastic job and all that work really paid off! when you make a discord ill join for sure! im boutta download and play the game right now! I love horror games and you have provided the ultimate game! and like others say, this game has ALOT. of potential. Think about it: You can update the game to add new features such as: new maps, new gamemodes, new areas of the main story map, multiplayer, cutscenes, and so much more! this game has alot of potential so please dont let it go to waste! sorry for the long comment i just really love this kinda stuff
I love this game, I feel like it could get more content updates but other than that, the only thing I don't like is how Stage 5 plays out, it is more of a camping stage, you wait at spawn till all of them are gone, you rush to get a Baby Munchi, go back, repeat, but still love it.
In the content updates could be some new entities, like someone that pretends to be a baby munchi, or some more new buildings, a somewhat animated ending after being done with the game, these are some ideas if you would like to update it for a little longer, but even if you leave this game as it is, you should definitely make more nextbot-type games!
Good feedback, I'm also unhappy with how campy the game gets when the bots have their difficulties increased. : / I think it's just a flaw in the main idea of the mechanics to be honest. Good ideas and suggestions, I am currently working on a new nextbot-y game that I think you'll enjoy!
I haven’t gotten far into it, but it is a cool concept, plus, I’m glad that the cast of characters isn’t the “usual” Nextbots I am familiar with lol
The game is pretty well done and it works well, though the spawn rate of the nextbots was a bit too much for my liking xD
hey derndeff, do you have a discord server or anything to talk to you on? for nothing in particular, you just seem chill and it'd maybe be nice. (it's fine if not though)
heya Asphore, I do not currently have a server setup since I don't think I could properly handle a community space right now (I get distracted very easily!) I will probably make one soon tho to help facilitate playtesting and other stuff that will help me make better games and interact with you all.
I am, however, going to give you and a couple other speedrunners/game breakers access to some stuff related to my current game project soon so you can give feedback and break things for me haha. Could you email me your discord to [email protected]? I don't have your contact info yet : )
I love this game a lot but I have a bug, it makes me go backward, its as if my s key is continuously being pressed. I have tried the base game and the lightweight counterpart. I am on Windows. But other than that this is a very enjoyable game :)
I MAY have found something that could cause this. Would you be interested in helping me test a fix for it? If so, please email me at [email protected]
Sometimes I can’t play
