A game made in RPG Maker MV for Black Cat Jam! (windows only- didn't have time to test out other version :()
Follow Midnight, a black cat who remains loyal to his owner even in death, as he travels across Heaven and into dreams to find out what's going on with his old owner, Mary.
content warning: nothing major, but someone's in a mental health crisis, and alcoholism is implied but never directly brought up. Also, pet death I suppose since they're all already ghosts.

(Speaking of music though, sorry if the implementation is a bit wonky- it's the last thing I did, and I don't have enough time to check it as much as I want to!

This is probably the only black cat game jam that I enjoy playing in the past few days, as other devs who made their jams didn't submit any download file, their game jams work terribly in web version lol. Anyway, I think your game is cool, though it's short and lacks of music in some areas, it's decent enough, the story is simple and and very relatable (god I sure hate group project), but I guess I like the first half of the game more? Cat Heaven and ghost cats stuff, it's fun to read through all the dialogues from NPC cats. Overall, it's a good experience, that's why I decided to make a playthrough video for your game, keep up the good work!

And I totally understand your preference for the first half, it was fun putting all the little world building stuff in... plus I managed time pretty badly and had to rush through some of the second half. Also, WOW I didn't expect anyone to make a video about it ^^ I'll definitely check it out as soon as I have the time !
