every now and then i remember that my ex boyfriend once went on an hour long tangent about how i was a “low value woman” because i didn’t have any interest in business and liked to watch youtube for fun and not to learn career skills (or something) while he himself was working for an mlm scheme and doing the bare minimum for his last semester of classes and i was actively working two jobs, finishing my own degree with honors and also applying to graduate school and scholarships.
