Varex Imaging Corporation, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, is the world's largest independent provider of medical X-ray tubes and imaging solutions. Our components are used in medical imaging, load inspection and border security. In Europe, we employ more than 500 people, with over 2000 employees working for Varex around the world. Our three German sites in Willich, Walluf, and Bremen are specialized in different areas; Sales, Technical Support and Repair of X-Ray Tubes, Development and Production of Flat Panel Detectors, and Software Development. Varex aims to be the preferred global partner for innovative x-ray imaging solutions. We truly have “Solutions in SightTM”. Willich is home to Varex Imaging’s European Service Center for X-Ray Tubes and Flat Panel detectors. About 18 employees serving over 300 active customers in other European countries with replacement components. Over the years, the Service Center facility has built a great business, handling more than 1,000 tubes and panel returns every year, making Tubes and Flat Panel detectors available off the shelf for same day delivery. The Varex Imaging Deutschland AG, branch Walluf facility joined Varex Imaging Corporation in May 2017 as part of the PerkinElmer Medical Imaging acquisition. More than 95 employees who work in a 3,000 sqm building in picturesque Walluf, Germany contribute their expertise and experience in developing and producing X-Ray Detectors since 1989, supplying over 20,000 detectors to customers since its inception.
