This week is my 6th as CEO of Factory Berlin, and as we slide into Q4, I’m working with the team to look a bit into the future to understand where we want to go in order to best serve our members, and the German tech ecosystem.
Last week I sat down with the leadership team in a workshop to examine just that, refining our strategy for the year ahead. And here are a few things that came up in our session that I can share.
🤝 Network is the future 🤝
Through programs like Stealth Mode by Factory Berlin, and Level Up, we’ve consistently received feedback that whilst the content we offer in our programs, and our spaces, are a huge benefit of membership, the network opportunities we curate are the most valuable part of participating in our community. Therefore our programming and event efforts will continue to double down and focus on building valuable connections with the most relevant people for our members’ goals.
👁 Visibility is a valuable part of membership 👁
We consistently create content spotlighting our members and superstar founders, and this is something of value for early-stage businesses trying to grow their profile and awareness. With a large audience, we can help our network startups get in front of many people. Moving forward, our comms team will connect better with the community to elevate the stories, successes and impact of our members.
💻 Tech is our DNA 💻
The internationality and interdisciplinarity of Berlin’s population is very much reflected in our network - we bring together people from over 90 countries, from a broad set of industries. And this is something that will never change. However, tech startups and their partners, advisors and collaborators, are still at the core of our mission and our programming. I’m empowering my team to improve our service to this core part of our network on a long-term basis.
Ultimately, we want to build a network that enables founders, entrepreneurs, investors, and corporates to connect and work together.
We have years of experience doing this, and I’m very excited to be the next flagbearer of that mission, with my wonderful team.
