#DigitalHubToronto learns about psychological health and safety! Last week we held a workshop on the 13 psychological factors for a healthy workplace, it was an insightful and engaging event focused on improving mental health and well-being in our work environment. Participants actively engaged in breakout group activities organised by our team captains Ashwin AK, Bryan Irwin, Maria Bazkur, Md Nazmul Hassan Shovon, Salima Venkani and Tarek El Rifai, designed to reflect on how these factors currently manifest in our organisation and what steps can be taken to improve them. The workshop was a collaborative effort that provided valuable insights into how we can better integrate these psychological factors into our daily working practices.   The workshop was magisterially led by Sean Cammaert, Head of EHS for BASF Canada, and we concluded with actionable strategies to improve well-being in the workplace and a commitment to continually support a healthy, respectful, and engaging work environment for all at the Toronto Hub.   #TeamBASF #belongatBASF #Teamwork #EmployeeEngagement #ActiveListening #Empathy #OpenMindset #Respect #DigitalHubToronto

Last week, we celebrated the 2024 edition of the Cultural Breakfast in Madrid. With the cultural diversity we have at Madrid Digital Hub with more than 40 nationalities, the ‘Cultural Breakfast’ is the opportunity to create a lively and colorful collage of tastes from the world. 🌍 We had a celebrative buffet-style breakfast, carefully prepared by the colleagues, with an interesting array of tasty foods from a variety of countries including Argentina, Colombia, Egypt, China, Spain... and even from the outer space with the colleague from 'Future of Work'!  It was yet another opportunity to meet and network and travel to faraway places with food. 🙌

🎉 BASF Digital Hub China recognized as "Global Digital Service Provider" by Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Commerce At the opening ceremony of the 2024 Nanjing Golden Autumn Economic and Trade Fair on September 24, the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Commerce announced BASF Digital Hub China as a recognized "Global Digital Service Provider". Nanjing’s "Global Digital Service Provider" initiative is part of a broader pilot program endorsed by the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), which aligns with some of the major national strategies. By providing a series of supportive measures and services, the program aims to further open up key service sectors and to support the growth of multinational enterprises within the city. BASF Digital Hub China was founded in Nanjing in 2020 and is part of Global Digital Services (GD) network of digital hubs. As a regional hub, it focuses on Greater China and is committed to grow in the Chinese market. Since its establishment, the Hub has continuously strengthened its digital capabilities in China and has grown into a team with over 170 digital experts. In September, the second AI Connect Con event was hosted in Madrid, a global BASF event that has also been celebrated in all the worldwide digital hubs: Nanjing, Kuala Lumpur, Toronto and Ludwigshafen. This time, the day was split into two. In the morning session, we had the opportunity to have a warm welcome and introduction on AI with Dr. Suad Sejdovic, Product Family Manager Analytics and AI. We also counted on an external speaker, Jorge R. Rebolledo, raising awareness on the importance of AI Ethics. And finally, all the AI-led projects were presented by ORION GARCIA GALLARDO, Jasmin Weimüller, Marcos Díaz Díaz, Nils Gies, Victor Blaess, Guillermo García Fernández, Alvaro Huarte Albas, Jean-François Gutierrez. It was a day full of learnings about the many aspects of AI, where colleagues were able to experience it first hand through a gamified afternoon session under the slogan of Play AI.

This week, Andreas Gietl visited Madrid Digital Hub. It was the opportunity to meet with the team Digitalization of Businesses, celebrate successes and milestones over this 2024, and open space for more informal coffees and networking. It was also the moment for Madrid colleagues to present some key projects. Congratulations for the amazing presentations! 🎉 #DigitalHubKL had an amazing few weeks hosting Stefan Beck at the office! Our colleagues were thrilled to meet him and engage in discussions on various key topics. It was the ideal opportunity to gain clarity on our company's direction, exchange ideas, and establish a personal connection with Stefan. Throughout his visit, our office was buzzing with activity as digital trainees, leaders, and colleagues organized sessions and engaged in insightful conversations. These kinds of more informal meetups open space to create meaningful connections outside the scope of formal work, where we can enhance team cohesion, build relationships, collaborate and network. They are the ideal setup to come back to the office after the disconnection of some months and enjoy an afternoon at the Hub with the colleagues. Even though we are a digital Hub... “some experiences cannot be lived in the virtual world!”
