Unprecedented Research Investments Open Doors for International Students and Universities in Germany 🌍
Germany's commitment to innovation reaches new heights as DAX companies pour a historic €75 billion into research and development, constituting over 5% of their revenues. This strategic focus not only strengthens Germany’s position as a global innovation leader but also enriches the academic landscape.
🎓 For international students, this surge in investment means unparalleled access to advanced research opportunities and collaborations with industry giants like Siemens and SAP, especially at hubs like the Technische Universität München. These partnerships are paving the way for cutting-edge facilities in #Garching and #Heilbronn, enhancing both the educational and professional prospects available to students.
🏛️ Universities stand to benefit immensely, serving as central nodes in these expanding innovation ecosystems. They are positioned to attract more funding, foster international collaborations, and enhance their global reputation, making them even more attractive to prospective students and faculty.

Voluntary work is the necessary cement of our society. But there is also voluntary work or commitment at a professional level that does not primarily pursue economic interests.
Today I was able to witness one of these manifestations of commitment in my sector of market research:
The regular elections of the Federal Executive Board and other bodies of BVM Berufsverband Deutscher Markt- und Sozialforscher e.V. were on the agenda.
It's great to see how we as market research professionals work together in a competitive environment, regardless of the competition, to make our industry fit for the future.
Our exciting exchange also focussed on membership figures and forms of involvement. And it shows that we all have a responsibility in the industry to support such institutions.
Everyone as they can.
That is why I would like to encourage my network today to get involved, whether actively and creatively. Or as a member or simply by ancouraging fellow research colleagues to join or spread the word .
It is worthwhile and enriching.
Just do it now and explore what BVM offers: www.bvm.org
Finally, congratulations on the re-election of the Executive Board Frank KnappChristian ThunigMatthias FankKai Bruns and Raimund Wildner.

ProA Capital De Inversiones S. G. E. I. C., a leading pan-European private equity firm, announced on 9 July the acquisition through its managed funds of all the companies of the BAT Group, previously owned by the Barbieri family.
Founded in 1983 by Amorino Barbieri and headquartered in Noventa di Piave (Venice, Italy), the BAT Group employs more than 500 people and operates worldwide in the field of sun protection systems, selling in over 70 countries. It consists of 9 companies that are essentially active in two Strategic Business Units, one labelled with the BAT brand (for companies that manufacture and distribute sun shading systems and components) and the other with the KE brand (for companies that manufacture the finished product).
The BAT brand currently identifies 5 companies, including BAT Spa, which has its headquarters in Noventa di Piave: BAT Iberica (Spain), BAT France (France), BAT USA (USA) and BAT Scandinavia (Sweden). 4 companies are labelled with the KE brand: KE Protezioni Solari (Noventa di Piave, Italy), KE France (France), Gennius France (France), KE USA (USA).
The acquisition is intended to accelerate the Group's growth in Italy, both in terms of production facilities and human resources. The acquisition is also intended to significantly strengthen the Group's presence on international markets - which already account for over 65% of the Group's sales - through targeted acquisitions.
The acquisition is in line with ProA Capital's strategy of investing in companies that are family businesses rooted in Italy but with significant international development. Another key point is the strong impact on sustainability, as solar shading systems are an essential component for more efficient climate control of environments, the use and spread of which continues to increase worldwide.

Yesterday my colleagues Sophie EggerPeter Buchinger and I attended the 4th EIC Accelerator Exchange Meeting in Vienna, and the experience was a goldmine of insights! Here are my top 3 takeaways for Technology Transfer Aficionados:
🌟 Disruptive Innovations Need Transparency: It's clear that disruptive innovations are the bedrock of progress, but we must demystify the concept for broader understanding and adoption. The future is in clear, disruptive ideas that are well-defined and easily integrated into existing systems.
🌍 Regional Policies Power Innovation: Innovation isn't just about great ideas; it's also about where those ideas can flourish. The discussion on the role of regional policies highlighted the need for nurturing environments that can help startups thrive. This means creating and sustaining a supportive ecosystem at both the local and national levels.
💡 Collaboration is Key for Early-Stage Startups: The EIC Fund's focus on market failures paves the way for deep tech investments, demonstrating the importance of collaboration between public funds and private investors. As the fund becomes more active, it's vital for startups to leverage this opportunity for growth and development.
Thanks to Blue Planet Ecosystems, Kern Tec, Brainhero, Dimetor and contextflow who gave an insight into their deep tech developments with their pitches, showing that the path to funding is not always easy and that even a first rejection does not mean that funding will not be granted for the second application.
Every meeting like this reinforces the value of community, knowledge-sharing, and strategic partnerships in the tech transfer landscape. #EICAccelerator#Innovation#TechTransfer#DisruptiveInnovation#RegionalPolicy#Startups#DeepTechMichiel Scheffer, Anna Panagopoulou, Viktoria Tollinger, Hannes Hunschofskytecnet equity

Living and working in a space where you barely understand the language is a challenge in many ways. For sure we need language to convey our thoughts and ideas, but is it always the case or how it should be?
How about we start understanding the language of the body and introduce more awareness of non-verbal communication in our innovation practices?
I am very happy to be part of this project by mkrz collective -Alternative Lab for Future Skills, it will be a great opportunity for me to explore
Embodied Thinking
Embodied Learning
Embodied Idiating
