Was Litauen wirklich nicht braucht!!! Ein Beispiel der Antiwerbung für eine wirklich schöne Stadt. 😡 Shame Go Vilnius Einer der besten Kommentare für diesen Unsinn von Go Vilnius kommt von Lukas Handschin (Schweizer Hotelier in Litauen): "The new advertising film of the Go Vilnius tourist office is a waste of time – and money. In contrast to the claim, it is expectedly boring. For those whose attention span is less than 5 seconds before they scroll on, the pensioner in the park is off-putting, not to mention the sonorous voice-over. Ok, at least they don't keep watching, but move on to other topics vying for their attention. For the older ones among us, whose attention span and patience exceed the 15-second mark, it has the look and feel of a nostalgic film from the Soviet era. Humorous, but boring. Key message: in former times everything used to be much funnier. The message doesn't get through to film aficionados either, because the realisation is disastrous. Even the opening scene is far too long and then a looooong, slowly enlarging flashback lens winds its way out of the head of the elderly, newspaper-reading gentleman in the park. In terms of film technology, this was state of the art sometime and somehow before the 1970s. But if you want to judge it favourably, it's part of the subsequent nostalgia shoot. Quite congruent, after all. After the footage of the intro, which presumably had been shot with a lot of effort and extras, was cut to 1:20, there were no more than 27 (!) seconds left to resolve the whole thing and reward those having been stuck with it up to that point. However, the production had now run out of ideas and probably also money, after those involved had channelled all their wealth of ideas and energy into fake nostalgia. All that was left was to buy boring stock pictures, drone shots of streets and food clips – all the same as seen a thousand times before. By now, at the latest, no one is watching any more – despite the upbeat hard rock music, which in turn doesn't really fit in with the same old aerial shots of the baroque old town."
