Specialized consulting skills for enhancing sustainability metrics and creating innovative approaches to implement NAM-focused chemical risk assessments within the scope of the H2020 RISK-HUNT3R project

Responsibilities

The subcontracting contribution aims to establish connections with crucial stakeholders to facilitate engagement with regulatory bodies, with a specific emphasis on the REACH regulation and associated dossiers. A substantial role will be played by the subcontractor in the work package titled "Sustainability measures and strategy for NGRA framework." This involvement encompasses various activities designed to guarantee the long-term viability of RISK-HUNT3R methods and strategies, ensuring their adoption in both regulatory and commercial contexts well beyond the project's duration.

Qualifications

The tenderer must have the following minimum professional capacity to perform the contract.

· Track-record (≥ 10 years) of activities linked with alternatives to animal testing;

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of regulatory toxicology and qualified with an academic degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry or Toxicology; registration to internationally recognized toxicology societies (e.g., ERT) will be considered a plus;

· Being familiar with new approach methods (NAM) and, in particular, with concepts such as adverse outcome pathways (AOP), Integrated Approaches to Testing and Assessment (IATA) and Next-Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA);

· Excellent knowledge of quality assurance procedures applied to NAM;

· Excellent understanding of regulatory science and REACH;

· Excellent communication and writing skills;

· Ability to prioritize, adapt, and be creative;

· Have a record of scientific publications (> 20) linked with toxicology and/or regulatory toxicology
