The people behind #ZFRaceEngineering Today, we're excited to introduce one of our damper test mechanics at our headquarters in Schweinfurt: Kevin Kozuch. Starting his career as an apprentice tool #mechanic in 2014, Kevin moved through two roles within ZF Group before joining ZF Race Engineering at the end of 2022. "Motorsport has always been a #passion of mine, and working with high-performance products like dampers makes every day exciting. My role focuses on assembling dampers and prototypes, testing their #performance, and performing service work." What Kevin enjoys most about his work is building a damper from scratch using small components. When asked about his role and working at ZF, Kevin added, "You have the freedom to work on your own, but there's always a strong #team behind you, ready to support. You can always count on the team, and you're surrounded by a great work environment. That's what makes working here so special." One team, one goal: the Best for the Best.

The people behind #ZFRaceEngineering Marcel Sahlmüller, a test #mechanic specializing in dampers, has been a part of the ZF Race Engineering team since April 2023. His career began in 2014 when he started training as a cutting machine operator at ZF in Schweinfurt. From 2018 to 2023, Marcel worked as a milling cutter in clutch prototyping. Driven by his passion for motorsports, he made the decision to join ZF Race Engineering. Discussing his position he described ‘In the workshop I work in the area of new production, where I always have different types of dampers that I build and manufacture for both #racing and #road vehicles. The special thing is that I can see the finished product at the end of an order and can also see where my dampers are installed everywhere. This is also the case when I am at tuning fairs or racing events privately.’ The testing of all ZF products is essential to evaluate #performance durability and efficiency. In #motorsport, this work is essential for enhancing vehicle handling and performance under extreme conditions. In Marcel's role as a test mechanic, it is important to test every #damper on the test machine at the final stage to ensure functionality, quality and performance. One team, one goal: the Best for the Best.
