At Yepoda, sustainability has always been at the core of what we do, and we never compromise on that. Naturally, developing refills for our products has been a key project – one we've worked on for many years – and it’s something our customers have been eagerly waiting for. That is why we’re so incredibly 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲 the launch of 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆! All refill products will be in biodegradable pouches, besides The Bubble Double Refill that is contained in a bio-based plastic pouch due to the consistency of the product, allowing our customer to 𝗿𝗲-𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻. This is an incredible achievement. 🎉 By switching your beauty routine to refillable products, research shows we 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝟴𝟬% compared to traditional packaging. It was such a joy to connect with our French community, and the energy around the day was truly special! Seeing everyone engage with our skin analyzer and enjoy our cushion foundation The Dewy Day (we of course brought all 21 shades including our 14 new shades with us! 🙌🏼) was beyond rewarding. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭: Lena wants her 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, she wants to give them 𝐚 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫.     🌍 Discover our 1% for the Planet donation of 2023 🌍 At Yepoda, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do since the very beginning. In 2020, Veronika & Sander 준영 made the decision to become part of 1% for the Planet, an incredible initiative founded by the creators of Patagonia. This means that Yepoda donates 1% of every order to selected environmental projects each year! We are very proud of this commitment and especially of seeing that the more we grow, the more we can support amazing organizations. With our 2023 donation, we were able to support the following NGO’s: Plastic Soup Foundation (3rd year in a row!): 🧴 Combats microplastic pollution in consumer and cosmetic products. The Surfrider Foundation Germany (2nd year in a row!): 🏄♂️ Defends oceans and beaches via education, clean-ups, and advocacy. WWF (2nd year in a row!): 🐼 Preserves wildlife, habitats, and raises environmental awareness in over 100 countries. Coral Guardian (new partner!): 🪸 Protects and restores coral reefs through local community collaboration. It is always extremely rewarding to see our donations translate into tangible actions. This year, our support for Coral Guardian has led to the adoption of an entire reef in Indonesia, helping to restore endangered marine ecosystems in the Flores Sea! 🎉 At Yepoda, we're proud to be part of 1% for the Planet. Back in the summer of 2020, our team consisted of just three people and two interns — too small for a summer party is what we may have thought, or we were just too busy getting Yepoda off the ground. 𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐰, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐰𝐞'𝐯𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧! In the first year that we had a summer party, we were on a tiny raft without even a toilet. Believe me, a team event without a toilet is a bit of an awkward team event 😂 𝐍𝐨𝐰, 𝐰𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐥. 🫰🏼✨ This year, we had a fantastic boat with a rooftop that felt luxurious compared to the years before. 𝐌𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭: 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 (not counting Sander 준영 and me!). Our summer party is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our growth and achievements – and to just take a break with the whole team. We always have a lively music discussion: part of the team loves reggaeton and salsa, while the other part leans towards techno (how it should be in Berlin! 😉) Last year, we even ended up with two dance floors! Each year, our summer event becomes more memorable, and new team members are often amazed by our boat party if they join shortly before it.     🏳️🌈 GIVING BACK: PRIDE MONTH 🏳️🌈 We are incredibly proud to share the wonderful news from our recent Pride campaign! Thanks to the amazing support from our community, we are donating €36.000,-- to four incredible NGOs! This sum will be equally split between: Lesben- und Schwulenverband (LSVD) (Germany) Agedo Milano (Italy) FELGTBI - Federación Estatal de Lesbianas, Gais, Trans, Bisexuales, Intersexuales y más (Spain) Fondation Le Refuge (France) For the second year in a row, we collaborated with a talented artist to reimagine the design of one of our bestseller products, The Mist Have in an XXL format. This year, Shanée Benjamin helped us bring this project to life! Shanée specializes in digital illustration, focusing on passionately telling the stories of LGBTQIA and BIPOC individuals. Creating community and connection through art is her passion. Her stunning design made our product not just beautiful and unique, but also meaningful. It truly captured the spirit of love and Pride. 🏳️🌈 At Yepoda, giving back has been a core value from the start. Our founders Sander and Veronika decided from day one to become a member of 1% for the Planet, and as we kept growing, they wanted to expand the impact Yepoda can have as a company. Last year, we donated €30.000,-- for our very first Pride campaign to the LSVD in Germany. We were already incredibly proud, and it is so rewarding to see that as we grow, so does our impact! We were not only able to increase our donation and continue our support for the LSVD in Germany, but also extend our contributions to three additional incredible NGOs in our other key markets: Italy, Spain, and France. 📈👏 We hope to continue supporting this beautiful cause year after year, increasing our contributions as we grow, to continue and #spraythelove.     Saying Goodbye to our Rome Pop-Up Store: my 3 Key Learnings 🫰🏼✨ From March 28th to May 27th, we had the incredible opportunity to set up a pop-up store in the heart of Rome, at Roma Termini train station. While it might sound unusual to have a pop-up in a train station, train stations in Italy have become vibrant shopping hubs filled with cool and young brands. With around 150 million passengers per year, Roma Termini gave Yepoda a massive reach and on some days we had almost 400 customers in the 22 sqm store! 🤍 Our goal behind the pop-up store? To boost brand awareness and - just like our first pop-up last year in Milan - to create an experience-driven space where people could explore the full Yepoda skincare routine and learn more about our brand. 💡 This pop-up was especially exciting as it came shortly after the launch of our cushion foundation The Dewy Day, which had a special display in the store. We also hosted a fantastic influencer event with some of our long-time collaborators in Rome such as Luca Buttiglieri, Micol Olivieri and Eleonora Tani, making it a memorable evening. Since this experience was a huge accomplishment, I wanted to share my top learnings with you for launching a successful pop-up: 👉🏼 In-person experiences are extremely powerful As a beauty brand that started out DTC, we knew the power of e-commerce but wanted to connect with our community on a deeper level. The energy and excitement we saw among the customers in our pop-up confirmed that in-person experiences add another layer to the brand experience and can boost brand loyalty. 👉🏼 Location, location, location The location in Rome’s train station was perfect to achieve our goal of boosting our brand awareness. It provided excellent exposure offline – of course with an extended reach through vibrant social media activations. 👉🏼 Memorable experiences drive brand love The core of our pop-up stores is the goal to create a true experience for our community. With both of our pop-ups, we didn’t just create a room with shelves – we crafted an engaging and interactive experience-driven space where our brand story could come to life and customers could engage with our products. This experiential focus not only drives immediate sales but also fosters long-term brand love. Our customers left with more than just products—they left with a connection to our brand, which is invaluable in building a loyal community. Special thanks goes out to our architects 23bassi for sharing our vision, Allestimenti Benfenati S.p.A. for making everything come to life, the Retail Group Spa and of course, to Project Lead Noa JUNGBAUER as well as our Ops and design teams for making these two amazing months possible. 🤍

    🌊Cigarette Clean-Up: Team Volunteering Activity with Surfrider Foundation Last Friday, our team participated in a meaningful volunteering activity with one of our 1% for the Planet partners, The Surfrider Foundation. As a proud 1% for the Planet member from the very beginning, we've been supporting Surfrider Foundation since last year in their mission to keep our waters clean! The past weekend, Surfrider Foundation organized a Europe-wide cigarette butt clean-up event. Hence, it was the perfect opportunity for our team to get involved - and we learned a lot! Here is why it’s SO Important to not throw your cigarette on the ground: - Every year, 4,5 trillion cigarettes are thrown on the ground. That’s approximatively 56150% more cigarette butts than there are people on the planet. - One cigarette butt contains over 4.000 different chemicals. 🚬 - Just one cigarette can contaminate 1.000 liters of water. Therefore it is absolutely crucial NOT to discard them on the ground – spread awareness!💧 - It can take more than 150 years for a cigarette butt to decompose. ⏳ With a dedicated group of 50 people, we took to the surrounding areas of our office. Splitting into four teams, we managed to collect 41.000 cigarette butts in just two hours! As a clean skincare brand ourselves, protecting the environment particularly important to us. We will ALWAYS only sell products free from silicones, parabens, formaldehyde, PEGs, mineral oils, microplastic, and sulfates. Each one of our product carries the 'Zero Plastic Inside' badge, certifying that none of our products contain microplastics.     THROWBACK TO OUR AMAZING SEOUL TRIP IN APRIL ✨ This April, we flew to Seoul with eight Yepoda content creators from Germany and France! Along with Sander 준영 van Bladel and Veronika Strotmann, they were able to discover and learn more about Yepoda’s production and Korean skincare culture! Here is what we did: - We visited the Yepoda production where all our products are formulated and produced. Followed by a special presentation from our founders for a deeper insight into the vision and mission that guides us in our brand choices! 👀 - Our special guests experienced firsthand advanced skincare technologies and treatments at our partner K-Beauty studio, Comme Aesthetic where they each received a personalized Yepoda treatment after getting their skin analysis done. 💆♀️ - K-Beauty makeover session with Mr. Ham, one of Korea's most renowned beauty artists, who had already hosted our The Dewy Day event in Paris. The makeover was followed by a photoshoot session with their favorite Yepoda products! 📸 - Of course we enjoyed some delicious Korean food and drinks! 🇰🇷🍜 This trip was a very successful opportunity to raise awareness around the roots of our brand as well as strengthening the bond with content creators! Since 2021, we have successfully organized six immersive trips to Seoul, where Yepoda’s products are thoughtfully developed and manufactured with love. 🫰✨These experiences are crucial for enhancing our brand storytelling, showcasing where our products are manufactured as well as reinforcing and increasing awareness around our values. We are looking forward to more in the future!
