We are excited to announce that north.io GmbH has successfully closed an €8.5 million seed investment round, led by VAERING and supported by our existing investors. VAERING, a Northern German family-owned investment company, is renowned for backing sustainable innovations with a visionary approach. This milestone marks a significant step in our mission to usher in a new era of ocean digitization and revolutionize maritime data management and analysis.
🌍 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝘀:
- 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗢𝘂𝗿𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆: we will massively expand our groundbreaking and revolutionizing TrueOcean platform technology that combines cloud computing, big data processing, and AI to transform underwater data management and analytics.
- 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗢𝘂𝗿𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽: Facilitating and strengthen our technological leadership in cloud-based ocean data management and analysis, offshore wind and critical underwater infrastructure. Rooted in Northern Germany, impacting the world!
- 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗢𝘂𝗿𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: our oceans are vital to the future of our planet. They are home to countless species, our largest source of renewable energy, and the most significant carbon sink. To avoid repeating the mistakes made on land, like deforestation, we must rely on data-driven understanding. north.io GmbH and our TrueOcean platform are the key to unlocking that knowledge and ensuring a sustainable future.
🚀 We are excited to continue our journey, powered by VAERING and our trusted partner Possehl Mittelstandsbeteiligungen GmbH / GABLER Naval Technology, as we work together to make the oceans more sustainable and secure through cutting-edge technologies.
A huge thank you to our team, investors, partners and legal advisors who have supported us on this incredible journey. Together, we are shaping the future of maritime innovation! 🌊
Thank you Moritz Koch for your trust in our endeavour, looking forward to a great common journey!
