Transforming Into an “Interconnected Retailer” - How We Helped HORNBACH Baumarkt AG Leveraging Flexibility and Customization 🛠️ As one of Europe's largest DIY retailers, HORNBACH knows that offering an integrated shopping experience across both online and offline channels is crucial. But their existing e-commerce platform limited what was possible. Through strategic changes to their IT infrastructure and a customer-centric mindset, together with HORNBACH we paved the way for innovative new business models and a seamlessly connected shopping journey. Turbine Kreuzberg not only supported HORNBACH in replacing its commerce platform, but also assisted in designing the architecture. The headless approach and the implementation of the modular Spryker Commerce OS system offered a new level of flexibility. Through an iterative approach of gradually swapping out individual content blocks, we seamlessly incorporated Storyblok within Simplicity's existing Spryker platform. TXB Connect Vol. 3 ✨ Last week, we turned our office space into a dinner location for our third round of #TXBConnect - our partner and client roundtable. The aim? To make new connections, share project insights and discuss technology. With dinner, drinks and a Kreuzberg sunset. This time around, the spotlight was on the challenges of bringing #AI to life for our clients. Fortunately, we had the privilege of hearing from AI pioneer Tim R. Schleicher of One Thousand, who provided a candid, first-hand account of their experiences. Main takeways from Tim’s talk: ✅ Start small with an MVP focused on a specific business pain point - don't try to boil the ocean. ✅ Data sources are often in better shape than we assume - leverage what you have to drive quick wins. ✅ Implementation speed and delivering tangible results quickly are critical for building momentum and trust.
