The team was supported in the TUM Venture Lab ChemSPACE and Food/ Agro/ BioTech as well as in the XPRENEURS Incubator programme and the TechFounders accelerator programme at UnternehmerTUM. From ground-breaking projects to inspiring discussions, our 𝟯 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 show how we are driving the future of sustainability as a team: [𝟏] 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗛𝘂𝗯: Lars Eiermann emphasized the urgency of our mission, 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝘅 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯. To address recent challenges such as the flooding in Rio Grande do Sul, Lars introduced the CleanTech Hub. This initiative aims to strengthen resilience, advance climate action and promote responsible resource management, with the expectation of significant net benefits from investments in technology and innovation. [𝟮] 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁: Nico Rosberg, former F1 champion and founder of Rosberg Ventures, shared invaluable insights with aspiring entrepreneurs. Nico highlighted the importance of mental toughness, the inspiration from post-career role models, and the transformative potential of innovation in addressing global challenges. Together with partners such as BMW Group, SAP, Giesecke Devrient, LHM Group and BEFIVE by UnternehmerTUM, 230 students presented solutions to eight CleanTech challenges. Changemakers from SYPOX and Qkera discussed the difficulties scientists face in scaling up technologies, emphasizing that while the journey is tough, the impact is profoundly rewarding. On 20 June, our Healthcare Lab celebrated the completion of the 2nd batch of the Healthcare Innovation Programme (HIP), sponsored by the Nixdorf Foundation, and at the same time kicked off the 3rd batch. Our Highlights: • 2nd batch participants pitched their results • We heard an insightful keynote speech from Eimo Martens, Head of the Telemedicine Centre • Great Networking hour with the opportunities to connect and share ideas • Five new challenge givers presented their challenges for the upcoming 3rd batch We are now excited to enter the next phase with our 27 participants and five challenge givers and look forward to tackling the new challenges.
