How are #BatteryElectric #trucks changing the future of logistics? 🚚 ⚡ At the #TRATONGROUP, we're at the forefront of the electric revolution. Our #ElectricVehicles are transforming the industry by reducing emissions and noise pollution in urban areas while minimizing reliance on fossil fuels. #BEVs not only enable more #efficient last-mile deliveries but also drive #innovation in long-haul transport solutions. This shift fosters new collaborations for #ChargingInfrastructure development and encourages supportive regulatory frameworks. These advancements are redefining #logistics, aligning profitability with environmental responsibility. As pioneers like DB Schenker show, the transition to e-trucks is both inevitable and advantageous, heralding a new era where #sustainability and efficiency go hand in hand. E-mobility is key to transitioning to more #sustainable transport. Our global #TRATONGROUP experts, like Bo Andrén, Engineering Director Battery Development at Scania Group, collaborate to advance battery #technology for heavy-duty commercial vehicles, ensuring a seamless adoption process. Continuous innovations in battery development and #ChargingInfrastructure give battery-#ElectricVehicles a clear edge over alternative drives. Our Group brand Scania has pioneered all-electric and hybrid vehicles since 2017, with around 2,000 units in operation by 2023. In 2020, Scania introduced a 29-ton #truck powered by nine batteries. Today, the 64-ton truck uses just six batteries to deliver 624 kilowatt-hours, compared to 330 kilowatt-hours previously. This leap in efficiency highlights our advancements in #BatteryTechnology – and shows what will be possible in ever shorter development cycles Together, we are driving the future of #transportation towards a cleaner, more efficient reality. 🚛🔌 Discover more about the e-developments of our other brands MAN Truck & Bus SE, Navistar Inc and Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus here: https://rb.gy/yw06p5 #TransformingTransportationTogether #TRATONElectrifies #EMobility #SustainableTransport #Innovation

How does connectivity enhance #logistics in the #transportation industry? 🚚📡 #Truck connectivity has immense potential to streamline #SupplyChain operations. Leveraging rich data from connected vehicles, logistics managers can better monitor freight conditions like temperature and humidity, ensuring the integrity of goods across complex supply chains. Real-time tracking enhances shipment visibility, fostering trust and accountability among #stakeholders, ensuring timely deliveries and minimizing uncertainties. Connected #trucks optimize delivery schedules and utilization with real-time tracking and traffic alerts, boosting on-time performance. In-cab navigation and messaging systems enhance productivity and communication between drivers, dispatchers, and customers for smoother operations. Proactive maintenance scheduling based on real-time diagnostics minimizes breakdown risks, ensuring fleet reliability. Connectivity extends beyond vehicles, enhancing logistics hubs and warehouse operations through improved planning and reduced bottlenecks. The market research and advisory company Mordor Intelligence valued the connected truck market at USD 20.94 billion in 2023 and projects it to reach USD 53.72 billion in the next five years. These interconnected factors pave the way for data-driven decision-making, unlocking new levels of efficiency within the logistics ecosystem. Coherent planning. More efficient, resilient production. Faster product launches and more powerful #innovation. The #TRATONModularSystem has been transforming vehicle manufacturing throughout the #TRATONGROUP since it was launched in 2021. But its heritage goes back a lot further than that… 🧰 Scania Group has been adapting components for use across different functions since the 1930s, based on the Swedish concept of the ‘bygglåda’ (‘construction kit’). Over the decades, this developed into a modular ‘toolbox’ of components that could flexibly meet different needs – thus achieving economies of scale and enabling the company to respond quickly to evolving demands. The lineage of ‘bygglåda’ continues today across our whole Group, with standardized interfaces that enable multiple uses for components, shared production with minimal duplication, and efficient R&D – so we can allocate more resources to innovations that meet the challenges of the future. 📖 Want to know the full story of #modularity at TRATON, from the 1930s to today?
