At TimeTeller®, our goal is to empower individuals and healthcare professionals with knowledge and tools to optimize health and prevent diseases through understanding and applying the power of circadian rhythms. TimeTeller® profiles your circadian clock using molecular analysis of saliva samples and computational modelling to provide toxicity profiles for optimization of treatment timing. By working with scientists of different research fields and pharmaceutical companies, we want to integrate circadian rhythm-based interventions in pharmacological research and drug development to optimize drug efficacy and diminish toxicity in cancer treatment. Our ultimate goal is to make circadian rhythm-based interventions an integral part of healthcare and enable individuals to live healthier, and more enjoyable lives. Our story: TimeTeller® is a spin-off of the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin and builds upon the research of the Circadian Medicine and Systems Biology research group lead by Angela Relógio and on her vision to translate her research findings into a product to benefit the patients. TimeTeller® as a project was initially funded by „Inventors for Health“ (I4H)-program by the Stiftung Charité and later by the Digital Health Accelerator (DHA) from the Berlin Institute of Health (BIH). TimeTeller® was founded, in Hamburg, in March 2023, as a GmbH by Angela Relógio, Benjamin Dose and Ascenion GmbH (the technology transfer partner of Charité). TimeTeller is currently funded by the InnorampUp program of the IFB.

𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻: 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 as part of the "ntv Startup Magazin" that reports on creative and innovative business ideas, we had a visit from Silke Böschen and her team. Silke wanted to know more about the circadian research at the group of Angela Relógio at the MSH Medical School Hamburg and its applications developed at TimeTeller GmbH The result was a nice short documentary about circadian rhythms, TimeTeller, and some of our future plans including our together work with the Die Techniker, the largest statutory health insurance in Germany. A tasty happy end to our chat was the Portuguese Galão at Café Sul, in the Portugiesenviertel in Hamburg with Angela Relógio, Benjamin Dose and the ntv team. A big thanks to Silke Böschen and her team, the MSH Medical School Hamburg, Deeksha Malhan, Müge Y., Lisa Gottschlich, the medical students and Rainer Petzina , the Rektor of the MSH, and also to the TK and Thomas Ballast, for participating in the documentary.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸: 𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗗𝗥 Shortly before the switch to summer time, a team from the Norddeutscher Rundfunk visited the research group of Angela Relógio, CEO from TimeTeller GmbH, to talk about the consequences of this one-hour shift to our health. The informative report, including interviews with several experts, is available via the link down below. The artificial switch from winter to summer time can have a significant impact on our bodies, our health and our hormone balance. This abrupt time change can disrupt our circadian rhythm, which regulates various physiological processes, including the sleep-wake cycle and hormone production. According to several studies, this disruption may lead to sleep and heart problems, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating as our bodies adjust to the new schedule. Overall, the benefits of switching to daylight saving time are thus questionable, from a circadian rhythm and health perspective. We are very grateful the NDR team, the MSH Medical School Hamburg, and the scientists of the Relógio group for participating.
