Yesterday, we had a great time with students from the PIM & CEMS Student and Alumni Club Cologne e.V.   Florian, Afrem, Jeremias, Marc and Sunita brought a case study on an "Optimal Sourcing Strategy" and the students impressed by presenting innovative ideas to the table. A completely different type of Kick-off 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 ⚽   Normally, we are used to having kick-offs with our clients or our team while working. But last Saturday was not about business. Slowly becoming more of a tradition, we had the chance to participate in the yearly Consulting Cup in Düsseldorf. This year, 12 consultancies came together to compete against each other.   Of course, not only our players were present, but also #TEAMtkMC cheering for them. We are really proud that we as a team support each other not only at work but also bring this spirit to events outside the office.   After a strong performance by everyone, our team managed to secure the victory in the penalty shootout of a thrilling final against Capgemini Invent! The Consulting Cup trophy will brighten up our wonderful office in Essen for at least the year to come!   Thank you to everyone who participated or came to cheer! A special thank you to Simon-Kucher for organizing this awesome event. Meet up with OSCAR in Cologne 🥐☕   Two weeks ago, Rebecca, Sunita and Kaan met with OSCAR GmbH.   OSCAR is a consultancy based in Cologne. More specifically, a consultancy for fresh graduates only. Right from the beginning, we recognized that we have a lot in common. Spending time and exchange with the community in Essen. Helen Dietrich decided to take place in our Communication area to share insights about her career path. Helens story with thyssenkrupp began in 2014, when she joined thyssenkrupp Schulte and three years later we had the honor to welcome her. Throughout her time at #tkMC, she worked on numerous projects that prepared her for a wide range of challenges. In 2021, Helen took the next step in her career by starting a new role at our corporate headquarters. She is now HR Business Partner for the top executives of two Segments. In this role she supports the top executives in HR topics throughout their complete time with thyssenkrupp. Additionally, she manages the development program for thyssenkrupp’s top potentials. During our Alumni Talk 👉 Helen shared her personal career motivations and challenges transitioning to Project Manager at tkMC. 👉 She highlighted valuable lessons and experiences from her time at tkMC. 👉 She discussed her current role and gave career advice to our colleagues.   Thank you, Helen, for your openness and the engaging discussion. 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘀 💡🎤🥘 Felix felt right at home when he returned to Cologne yesterday. Together with Carlo and Stefan they had the pleasure of meeting great talents at the PrepLounge Case Competition. During intensive work phases the students developed impressive solutions and presented their ideas in exciting pitches - Congratulations to the winning team! 🏆 The evening ended with tapas, drinks and relaxed networking. To all participants: Thank you for outstanding pitches but foremost for the engaging conversations that followed.
