✈Good morning from Farnborough. We are starting into day 3 at #FIA2024 with great news! Yesterday, we signed a long-term contract with Dynamatic Technologies Limited to support the Airbus A220 program. Under this agreement, thyssenkrupp Aerospace will manage the #supplychain for raw materials, warehousing, and processing services for Dynamatic Technologies’ facilities in India. The primary product group covered under this contract includes aluminum, steel and titanium products, which will be serviced from thyssenkrupp Aerospace India's local site in Bangalore. What an excellent way to kick off this year's Farnborough Airshow... We are very excited to announce that thyssenkrupp Aerospace will continue to manage the material demand for Magellan Aerospace Limited for another 10 years! The contract extension has been signed today at the Farnborough International Airshow. 💡Under the agreement, which also covers Magellan’s subcontractors, thyssenkrupp Aerospace will handle the entire supply chain management of raw materials, warehousing and other processing services for Magellan’s facilities in Europe and India. “We are delighted to continue our collaborative and successful long-term relationship with Magellan. Because we’ve worked with Magellan for so long, we have a deep understanding of their materials supply chain. The City of Light shines extra bright this year. ✨ The traditional #BastilleDay, or La Fête Nationale #FrenchNationalDay celebrations in Paris will look at little different this year. The huge military parade and flyover by military aircraft will not, as usual, take place down the iconic Avenue des Champs Élysées but will instead move to the nearby Avenue Foch. This break with tradition has been done to accommodate a very special and seldom seen visitor, the Olympic Flame.  🔥 With Paris hosting the 2024 Olympics, the Olympic Flame will be paraded through the streets of Paris, including the Champs Élysées on July 14, bringing an extra flame to brighten the City of Light.  thyssenkrupp Aerospace has strong connections with France and its world-leading #aerospace and #defense companies, many of which we count as customers of our #supplychainmanagement and #MaterialsasaService expertise. 🎉So, vive la France and we hope all our French collegues and business partners enjoy the massive celebrations on this extra special Bastille Day.

The wait is finally over—the #Ariane6 rocket makes its spectacular maiden launch today! 🚀 Designed for both heavy and light payloads, European Space Agency - ESA's Ariane 6 succeeds Ariane 5, Europe’s principal launch system that was operational for over a quarter of a century, flying 117 times between 1996 and 2023. The launch will be from Europe's spaceport in French Guiana, where the first Ariane #rocket took flight in 1979.  The Ariane 6 will launch a wide range of space missions and is available in two versions depending on the power needed. Ariane 62 features two solid rocket boosters, while Ariane 64 has four, each providing 3500kN of thrust. Equipped with two boosters, the Ariane 6 flight today will show off its restartable upper stage. We take pride in thyssenkrupp’s longstanding history with space travel. Notably, thyssenkrupp rothe erde provided critical structural components for the successful Ariane 5 – 503 mission in the late 1990s. ➡Today, thyssenkrupp Aerospace supplies some of the aluminum plates for the outer skirts of the Vega rocket. For the Ariane 5, we provided aluminum plates for the Vulcain Aft Bay (VUAB) and Vinci Thrust Frame (VITF). Building on this legacy, thyssenkrupp Aerospace supplied aluminum plates for the thrust frame at the core stage and VITF of the Ariane 6 rocket.    We are excited to watch Ariane 6 take off today. 2024 is a BIG year for the #USA, with a presidential election set for November! Whatever the outcome of the election there are bound to be some changes in the country. So perhaps this year more than most the celebrations on #IndependenceDay serve as a poignant reminder of the values and freedoms that the USA was built upon.
