Our Management Board member Oliver Burkhard has summed it up:

O Programa de Férias é um dos eventos mais esperados pelos pais, crianças e, ouso dizer, até mesmo pelos colaboradores que não têm filhos participando do Programa. A energia da nossa fábrica muda à medida que os ônibus adentram com as dezenas de crianças participantes do evento. Os Nuggets, hambúrgueres e batata frita fazem a alegria e são marco importante para a garotada. E o que dizer dos monitores e toda a equipe SESI que planejam com tanta dedicação e afeto a nossa recreação?! Um espetáculo de carinho, atenção e cuidado. Com o tema "Juntos somos mais fortes", lema de nosso Programa de Voluntariado lançado em 2023, desenvolvemos atividades lúdicas para explorar o tema com as crianças e adolescentes por meio de jogos cooperativos, oficinas de dança, teatro, e muito mais! Alinhado ao tema, este ano, a confirmação da inscrição se deu por meio da doação de um brinquedo novo ou usado em bom estado, que será destinado às crianças do Rio Grande do Sul, junto com a "carta da esperança" feita pelos participantes durante o Programa. E por falar em esperança, talvez esse tenha sido o Programa de Férias mais especial para mim, não só por ser o 3º do Luiz Gustavo e o 1º do Heitor no forninho, e projetá-lo em meio às crianças me trouxe uma alegria danada, mas, principalmente, pela parceria que fizemos com a Polícia Militar e o Instituto Semente da Vida para que mais de 60 vagas fossem destinadas às crianças da comunidade local. Reconhecer os pequenos estudantes "Destaques do PROERD", encheu meu coração de alegria, e ouvir das crianças em vulnerabilidade social: "esse foi o melhor dia da minha vida!" faz novamente meus olhos se encherem de lágrimas e, principalmente, esperança de que o trabalho com propósito vale à pena apesar dos apesares todos. On Sunday, we came together with 270 colleagues, friends and allies at #ColognePride 🏳️🌈. We celebrated love and #diversity and stood up loudly against hate, exclusion, and discrimination! Because we are convinced: Diversity makes us strong!
