Die Thermoplastic-Sandwich-Moulding-Technologie ermöglicht die vollautomatisierte Herstellung von 3D-geformten Bauteilen in materialeffizienter Sandwich-Leichtbauweise. Im selben Prozess werden die Teile zusätzlich per Spritzgießen funktionalisiert. Das Potenzial dieser neuartigen Hybridtechnik konnte an einer Staufachklappe aus der Lkw-Fahrerkabine demonstriert werden. Today: PIAE 2024 Heute startet die PIAE - Plastics in Automotive Engineering 2024 in Mannheim, der führende Kongress für Kunststoffe im Automobil. Wir präsentieren hier als Aussteller unsere Produkte und liefern einen Beitrag zum diesjährigen Vortragsprogramm. Ich werde über das neue Waben-Sandwichmaterial der Unterbodenverkleidung des Porsche 911 berichten. Durch unser Sandwichkernmaterial aus hexagonalen PP-Waben wird hier sowohl eine kosteneffiziente Gewichtseinsparung als auch eine signifikante CO2-Einsparung durch Reduktion des Wertstoffeinsatzes erzielt.
