Keine Personalarbeit funktioniert ohne gute Partner. Danke an unsere Standnachbarn und bestehende Partner worx Personalmanagement GmbH & ein ganz besonderer Dank an unseren ausscheidenden Studenten Marvin. Du bist ganz spontan hier eingesprungen und hast das grandios gemacht! 💐 Danke für die Einladung an Lisa Hübsch #erneuerbareeenergien #wasserstoff #grünerwasserstoff #solarwatt #worx /// 🤝🏽Erneuerbare Energies help each other!🤝🏽 Yesterday we had the honour of being part of the Solarwatt job fair. ⚡ As part of a reorganisation of the company, Solarwatt has to cut around 170 jobs. The employees affected come from the areas of production, logistics, maintenance, development and quality. Solarwatt organised yesterday's job fair to make the transition to new jobs easier for employees. There was never any question of us taking part in this job fair, even though we are currently hiring fewer people than we were a few months ago. We had some great conversations and it is impressive to see how many career changers Solarwatt has given a job opportunity to, some of them more than 20 years ago, who now have to reorient themselves on the labour market. One person at our stand even had tears in his eyes. Especially in these situations, it's nice to be able to help people and give them hope. Many of the employees deliberately came to our stand because they have decided in favour of the renewable energy sector and want to remain loyal to it. That really impressed me. No HR work works without good partners. Thank you to our stand neighbours and existing partners worx & a very special thank you to our outgoing student Marvin. You jumped in spontaneously and did a fantastic job! 💐 Thanks for the invitation Lisa Hübsch #renewableenergies #hydrogen #greenhydrogen #solarwatt

𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴! 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲. While parts of Europe have gone on summer break, the European hydrogen world has been kept busy. From national #IPCEI announcements to legislative changes to the #H2Global pilot auction – a lot has happened. While some initiatives could be improved, they have moved Europe’s hydrogen plans forward and will initiate important #FIDs. 🕶️Looking for an update during the summer break? We got you covered! 𝗜𝗣𝗖𝗘𝗜 𝗛𝘆𝟮𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮🏭: The German and Spanish government are providing fundings to hydrogen projects in their respective countries under the IPCEI program. In Germany alone, 7.9 bn EUR in hydrogen investments will be triggered by 23 selected projects. These projects represent 1.4 GW of electrolysis capacity and over 2000 kilometers of hydrogen pipeline to be built by 2030. Furthermore, Spain’s national IPCEI projects will result in over 650 MW of additional electrolysis capacity on the Iberian Peninsula. This means that we can look forward to many exciting FIDs in the coming months. 𝗛𝟮𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 🌍: After a long wait of almost two years, the results of the first H2Global tender have been announced - and they are a mixed bag. Of the three lots put out to tender (green ammonia, SAF and green methanol), only one was awarded. The lot for SAF was completely cancelled due to a lack of bids. And even in the awarded tender for green ammonia, there is a high risk that European taxpayers' money will be used to finance the scaling of non-European companies instead of European technology. Therefore, the auction procedure must be amended to ensure that strategic European value creation is guaranteed in these projects. 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: In Germany, the Federal Cabinet has provided an important impetus for the faster development of the hydrogen economy by passing the #HydrogenAccelerationAct. In particular, the fact that hydrogen plants will be classified as being “in the overriding public interest” will support to speed up the planning and approval processes. 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝘄: Poland has announced a series of measures to boost the country's hydrogen industry, i.a. a revised hydrogen law, bringing regulations in line with EU-level legislation. Furthermore, the government unveiled a 630m EUR program for local electrolyser manufacturing to boost innovation and industry. Across Europe, the hydrogen economy - especially the manufacturing side - is gaining momentum. We have to build on this momentum by making sure that the off-take side of the hydrogen economy is not forgotten, and by closing remaining funding gaps. If both sides, production and off-take, function properly, hydrogen will play the major role it deserves in Europe's industrial decarbonization. With the current announcements, Europe is one step closer. #HydrogenIsTheAnswer

“𝗬𝗲𝘀, 𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹” 💍 – 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟭𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 Today, the European Parliament said “yes” to reappointing Commission President Ursula von der Leyen for a second term. 💬 Our CEO Nils Aldag comments: “I would like to congratulate Ursula von der Leyen on her reelection as President of the European Commission. This will allow the EU to deliver on the Green Deal promises. The foundation has been laid over the last five years. The next five years will be about implementation.” 🥁 We call on the EU to firmly reiterate its commitment to the RED III targets and to ensure its full implementation across the Union. While no one expected a green hydrogen market to be created overnight and from scratch, we have seen encouraging signs of progress lately. At the same time, the EU must take action to protect its home-grown cleantech industry from the acute threat posed to European companies by a playing field distorted through state intervention and subsidies. 👉🏽This can only be achieved with the introduction of strong resilience criteria for public funding, safeguarding Europe’s competitiveness, innovation and sovereignty. Our proposals are on the table (see link in comments). We look forward to collaborating with the new Commission and other partners. Together, let's make Europe the world's cleantech champion! #HydrogenIsTheAnswer #Togetherness #GreenDeal #EuropeanHydrogenbank #EuropeanCommission #CleanTech #Innovation

"𝙉𝙤𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙤 𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙖 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙢 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙙”… …this is how Arwed Gößler describes the strong team spirit and high level of commitment at Sunfire Solingen. 💙💯 In an interview with Solinger Tageblatt, the Managing Director of Sunfire Solingen GmbH discusses the once-in-a-century opportunity of the energy transition. Together with his team, he is making a decisive contribution at the Sunfire site in Solingen, focusing on one of the most important production steps: electroplating. Here, the cells – the core component and "heart of the electrolyzers" – receive their metallic coating. This process significantly impacts the efficiency, robustness, and longevity of our pressurized alkaline electrolyzers. 💪🏽 Before supporting the market ramp-up of green hydrogen, the German electroplating company was already known for its expertise in special coatings, such as those for the traditional mining industry. Today, this long-established company is embracing a green future within the electrolysis business. At Sunfire, we are proud to rely on a strong foundation in Solingen: decades of expertise, highly specialized professionals, and remarkable team cohesion. 💡🔩 📰 Curious to learn more about our site and team in Solingen? 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁… ✒️ Together with 20 electrolyzer manufacturers and component suppliers, Sunfire addresses a letter to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Here’s why:  👩🏽🚀 Europe’s “man on the moon” moment, the European #GreenDeal, needs to deliver on what it promised: Making the green transition an industrial success story for the continent. ✨ Innovation Leadership: Europe is home to many quality and innovation leaders in electrolysis. However, Europe’s share in global manufacturing capacity is dwindling rapidly. ⚡The Challenge: Keeping electrolyzer manufacturing in Europe to drive decarbonization, boost Europe’s strategic autonomy and bring value to the European economy. 🛎️ Strategic Autonomy: Europe cannot afford to replace one dependency (energy imports) with another (imported technology). It is of utmost importance for the EU to implement strong resilience measures. ❗ Policy Action Needed: We welcome the consideration of non-price criteria in the second auction of the #EuropeanHydrogenBank. However, the current discussions are not fit for purpose and measures presented so far fall short. In our submitted proposals we urge the European Commission to safeguard critical parts of the electrolyser production process.  𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱. “𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲. 𝗟𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻. 𝗪𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄.” As part of the Renewable Hydrogen Coalition, CEOs of leading European companies, including our CEO Nils Aldag, were featured in a video - underlining the important role of green hydrogen for Europe and calling for immediate actions to scale up the industry. 📅 Tomorrow, Member States will meet to appoint the next President of the European Commission, to be confirmed by the newly elected European Parliament. With its European #GreenDeal, the current Commission played a crucial role in supporting the nascent renewable hydrogen industry, bringing much needed regulatory certainty and strong targets for its uptake in hard-to-electrify sectors. However, the journey is far from over. The new European Parliament and the next Commission President should stay the course and focus on delivering the Green Deal as Europe's growth strategy, with international competitiveness of the European industry at its core: 🎯 Set strong EU funding to massively scale up green hydrogen production and bring its cost down. 🎯 Adopt a robust European industrial strategy to build a competitive and resilient value chain in Europe as a matter of strategic industrial autonomy and security.   The future of our industry depends on it. Policymakers, the time to act is now! 👉 Learn more in our Manifesto (link in the comments).   #HydrogenIsTheAnswer #EUElections2024

𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆: 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🚀 Yesterday, we had the privilege of attending the "Tag der Industrie", organized by BDI - Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie e.V. under the thought-provoking theme of "Unity in polarized worlds". The discussions and insights reinforced our belief that sustainable economic strength depends on the power of  innovative scale-up companies like Sunfire. The #GreenDeal requires a robust and strategic approach – what we can aptly call an "Industrial Deal". And for the European single market to thrive, Germany needs to get its act together. Investments in future-proofing German's economy are a prerequisite. Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Economics Minister Robert Habeck as well as BDI President Siegfried Russwurm agreed on that. Europe and Germany in particular have many strengths that position companies like Sunfire and the entire electrolysis industry for success: 🔧 Expertise in mechanical and plant engineering, electroplating and automation. 🔗 Robust networks linking industrial partners, technology suppliers and customers, coupled with extensive experience in large-scale projects and industry-academia collaborations. 🏆 Differentiation is key. In global markets, German companies are characterized by differentiation strategies. Electrolyzers embody this distinct advantage. "Speed" became the buzzword of the day. Accelerating the ramp-up of the electrolysis industry is crucial. We agree: there is no time to lose! To unlock the enormous potential of electrolysis technology for both the climate and our economy, we need to combine an intelligent industrial policy with a fast and efficient bureaucracy. Only through this synergy can we establish a new leading industry of the 21st century here in Germany, in the heart of Europe. Let's use this momentum! 💪 #TDI24 #GreenDeal #IndustrialStrategy #HydrogenIsTheAnswer Photos: © Christian Kruppa and Jana Legler
