The 6th batch has just begun. Here are the five startups participating in the programme until October. • NextGen Innovators (NGI): Founded by Sarah Kübler and Sebastian Niemann. 𝗧𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗶𝗿'𝘀 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 In the wake of a significant cyber-attack on the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, the importance of robust cybersecurity has never been clearer. Tenzir, a Hamburg-based startup, is at the forefront of this battle. Tenzir provides innovative solutions to protect data infrastructures against inevitable cyber threats. With a strong research background from Berkeley University, Tenzir bridges the gap between data management and security. Tenzir was founded in Hamburg in 2017 by Matthias Vallentin. The company then needed a manager, who is familiar with administrative issues. 𝗗𝗧𝗖𝗣 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 $𝟰𝟱𝟬𝗠 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆-𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 Hamburg-based venture capital firm DTCP has closed two new funds totalling 450 million US dollars. Although DTCP is now independent and stands for "Digital Transformation Capital Partners," the "DT" originally represented Deutsche Telekom, which remains the anchor investor aside Japan's SoftBank Group Corp. In addition to Hamburg, DTCP also has offices in Tel Aviv, San Francisco, Luxembourg and London. In total, the company has already made more than 60 investments. The larger fund, Growth Equity III, is over 330 million US dollars and focuses on #AI  and #automation  companies. It plans to invest 20 to 25 million US dollars in fast-growing startups in Europe, the USA, and Israel. 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘁: 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗝𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗢𝗹𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘀 Hamburg-based startup BRACENET, transforms discarded fishing nets into stylish bracelets, key rings, and more, helping to protect marine life and clean our oceans. Since 2015, Bracenet has already given new life to around 190,000 metres of net, creating over a million products. 🐬♻️ The journey began in Tanzania and Zanzibar, where co-founders Madeleine von Hohenthal and Benjamin Wenke saw the devastating impact of ghost nets on marine life. Inspired to make a change, they turned a holiday observation into a mission-driven business. 🌍💡 Bracenet collaborates with partners like Healthy Seas and Ghost Diving, funding marine conservation and promoting sustainability. 𝗔𝘁𝗺𝗶𝗼 𝗧𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 🌍 Hamburg-based startup atmio has successfully raised 5.1 million euros in a seed financing round. The funding round was led by Notion Capital and included participation from SquareOne Venture Capital, HCVC, Robin Capital and David Rowan 's VOYAGERS.io Climate-Tech Fund. Atmio has developed a comprehensive solution that enables natural gas companies to adhere to the new EU methane regulations and significantly reduce methane emissions. The startup's operating system combines hardware and software to detect, remediate, and report methane emissions. 🌱 This innovative approach positions atmio to address climate change effectively and aims to become the leading global provider in the measurement and management of greenhouse gas emissions.
