𝟯𝗗 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗜-𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 Hamburg-based startup 3D Spark is transforming the way industrial companies make manufacturing decisions. They’ve created AI-powered software that helps businesses find the best way to produce components, whether through 3D printing, casting, injection molding, or milling. The software looks at factors like cost, speed, and sustainability, helping companies make smarter and more informed decisions. Founded in 2021 by Ruben Meuth, Fritz Lange, and Arnd Struve, 3D Spark automates the traditionally time-consuming process of analysing production methods. By processing digital design templates (CAD), material specifications, and other data, the platform can quickly identify the most suitable manufacturing method. This efficiency allows companies to reduce costs, delivery times, and CO2 emissions. Key industry players like Alstom and Deutsche Bahn have already adopted 3D Spark's software, achieving significant cost savings and shorter lead times. For instance, Alstom reported over €15 million in cost reductions and shortened delivery times by a total of 2,600 months. In May 2023, 3D Spark closed a €1.2 million oversubscribed seed funding round, enabling the startup to accelerate its platform's development. With a vision of "production without waste," 3D Spark is positioned as a key player in the future of manufacturing, making it easier for companies to embrace sustainable, efficient production methods. #startupcityhamburg #AI #automation#ManufacturingInnovation #AIDrivenSolutions #3DPrinting #SmartManufacturing #SustainableProduction photo © 3D Spark: the founders Fritz Lange, Arnd Struve and Ruben Meuth

🌍 Did you know that nearly every second product in supermarkets contains palm oil, but its production causes severe environmental damage? What if there was a sustainable alternative? In our latest Future Hamburg Talk, I had the chance to listen to Maximilian Webers, CEO of the bio-tech startup COLIPI from Hamburg. They’re revolutionizing oil production—think of them as a brewery, but instead of beer, they’re brewing sustainable oils! This innovative approach has earned them the Future Hamburg Award this year, and they’ve also been selected for the prestigious GREEN SCIENCES INCUBATOR (GSI) program at L'Oréal research and innovation.🌱 Curious how this innovation could replace palm oil and help protect the planet? Watch the video to learn how Colipi is shaping the future of sustainable products! 🌱 Watch the whole video here: https://lnkd.in/evUjksWB #FutureHamburg  #Sustainability #Innovation #BioTech #ClimateAction #PalmOilAlternatives

𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱: 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 In 2024, German startups face challenges, with fewer employees but hope for future growth. They now focus more on making profits, B2B sales, and sustainability. There are fewer female founders, more support from universities, and more international workers. However, working with established companies remains difficult.

𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴'𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗔𝗻𝗱 €𝟭𝟮 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗜𝗡 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 For the first time, the entire startup ecosystem from across Germany was brought together and showcased what an innovative and strong startup hub we already have! Our Startup City Hamburg team with Veronika Reichboth and Alex Rode had a fantastic time showcasing Hamburg's dynamic startup ecosystem. Our Hamburg stand was busy, as we connected with innovators, founders, and investors, highlighting why Hamburg is becoming a prime location for startups. A highlight for us was featuring TimeTeller GmbH, one of Hamburg’s promising startups. Their cutting-edge work in circadian rhythm diagnostics garnered a lot of interest, and it was exciting to see their innovation receive the recognition it deserves. As CEO Angela Relógio noted: “The German Startup-Summit was a great opportunity for TimeTeller to present our vision and technology to a wide audience. Networking with other innovative companies and thought leaders in the industry reinforced how important our contribution to health diagnostics is. This event has inspired us to pursue our mission with even more passion.” The summit also brought major news with the announcement of the €12 billion WIN Initiative (Wachstums- und Innovationskapital für Deutschland) an incredible boost for Germany’s startup ecosystem. This commitment to growth funding will significantly support deep tech and high-growth startups, positioning Germany as a global leader in innovation. As Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Dr. Robert Habeck emphasized: “The WIN Initiative is a strong signal for Germany as a business location. Together with the KfW and the financial sector, we have developed measures to improve the framework conditions for investments in growth and innovation capital and to reduce investment barriers. This spirit of innovation forms the foundation for the ecological and sustainable transformation of our economy and society.” #StartupGermanySummit #startupcityhamburg #HamburgStartups #WINInitiative
