🌈 LGBTQIA Voices We would like to draw attention to the importance of equality, respect and inclusion in the workplace. Today, Pedro Luiz Ferreira de Paula, who is part of the global SMS family, would like to share their personal coming out story with you. "As a bisexual man, I have faced various forms of prejudice and discrimination. Being open about my identity has allowed me to overcome these challenges. In the early stages of my career, I realized that LGBTQIA people often feel that they have to conform to heteronormative norms in order to be accepted in the workplace. As a member of the HR team at SMS Brasil group, I believe that working with people who respect diversity makes my experience healthier and allows me to be myself without fear.   For me, inclusion is more than just hiring LGBTQIA people. It is about respecting them for who they are. A diverse and compassionate workplace empowers everyone by valuing different personalities and stories. True inclusion is about creating a safe space that gives LGBTQIA people a voice and a sense of belonging. Being able to embrace my authenticity and be who I am in the work environment makes my experience as a bisexual man safer and more comfortable." We are proud to announce the production of the first coil at thyssenkrupp Steel Europe´s new annealing and insulating line in Bochum, supplied and delivered turnkey by SMS group including assembly. This state-of-the-art line enables the production of high-quality non-grain-oriented electrical steel strip, which increases the efficiency of energy conversion for e-mobility and power generation. “thyssenkrupp Steel and SMS group have achieved an important milestone in Bochum with the annealing and insulating line: Last week, the first annealed and coated coil was produced on the new plant.
