Our two portfolio companies thereby found out how strongly the weather influences the shopping behavior of flaconi’s customers. 💡 The results are striking: • There are more sales on rainy and fewer sales on warm days. • The weather explains /- 15 % of daily flaconi sales. • The weather had the biggest impact on the “Makeup” category. flaconi now, in the spirit of #CustomerCentric, plans to use these insights to offer their customers the best shopping experience.     ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE has released its quarterly financial results today, highlighting the continued dynamic revenue growth in the Commerce & Ventures segment during the second quarter of 2024: 👉 Revenues increased by 17% to EUR 197 million 👉 Advertising business (SevenVentures & SevenGrowth) grew strongly by 46% 👉 Adjusted EBITDA grew six-fold to EUR 12 million One of the key drivers of our sales growth this quarter is our Beauty & Lifestyle business, driven by the success of flaconi. We are thrilled to see that flaconi has continued to grow significantly, even in the face of consumer caution. For this purpose, 3,020 people across Germany were surveyed on the topic of the European Football Championship to find out what consumers desire and how the retailers and the market can use this momentum. And this huge sport event, that takes place in Germany from June 14 until July 14, gets the consumers excited: 💡 Already 𝟰𝟭% of those surveyed 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. 40% of the participants plan to watch European Championship matches in any case, another 40% if it comes up.   💡 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 (𝟵𝟭%) 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆, while 18% want to watch in restaurants, 15% at public screenings or in fan zones and 6% live in the stadium.   💡 79% of those who want to watch the matches also plan to 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗲. Thereby, meat products are by far the most popular. Other popular products are 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗽𝘀, 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹.   💡 Three quarters of those surveyed have already noticed 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 around the EURO. When it comes to 𝗯𝘂𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 related to the championship, 12% would buy them immediately, while for 60% of respondents it 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁.   Dr. Marc-Etienne Geser, 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘁𝗴𝘂𝗿𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼-𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 explains: "The European Football Championship is one of the sporting events that offer retailers and brands special attention and visibility among consumers. However, it has also been shown that the relevant awareness and the corresponding engagement only fully develop shortly before or right at the start of the tournament. KG and ntvNachrichten. As part of a population-representative consumer survey via an online panel, #customer satisfaction with online portals was examined in the areas of offer and #performance, customer #service and #website/app. Aroundhome was able to win over customers especially in the first two areas.   This award confirms Aroundhome's ambition to be the No. 1 platform for all home-related projects. This gives shoppers a particularly accurate and detailed breakdown of their spending, which helps them to better plan their own household budget.   And that’s how it works: With Bonsy, neither products nor retailers need to be entered manually into the app. Users simply upload a photo of the receipt to the app and the Bonsy AI does all the rest.     flaconi goes „Späti“ 🏪   No, our majority shareholding does not go to some Berlin kiosk to get last-minute groceries. Instead, flaconi cooperates with Elevator Production for their social media series “Späti”.   The viewers can follow Uncle D., a Späti-owner and part-time influencer, in the format, which is published on the #Instagram channel @spaeti_de on Wednesdays and Sundays. The fictional storyline focuses on a #cooperation contract of Uncle D. with flaconi for a high-end commercial that is supposed to generate a lot of attention with a small budget. During an official meeting at flaconi's headquarters, Uncle D. plans to produce a high-reach commercial together with his “Späti”-crew making big promises.     Yesterday ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE published its quarterly results. The segment Commerce & Ventures concluded yet another very strong quarter with an adjusted EBITDA that even quadrupled compared to the first quarter of the previous year and overall dynamic growth throughout the portfolio. An astounding 20% YoY revenue growth, even 23% on a portfolio-adjusted basis, means the investment business of the media company contributed around half of ProSiebenSat.1 Group’s total turnover increase. In the first quarter of 2024 the portfolio and its teams achieved an adjusted EBITDA of 17 million euros versus 4 million euros in 2023, and 206 million in external revenues compared to 172 million euros last year. Especially the comparison platform Verivox GmbH and the online beauty retailer flaconi faced another extraordinarily strong quarter, generating 49%, respectively 27%, in revenue increase. Based on better advertising market conditions also our SevenVentures team increased the unit’s turnover by 4% in Q1 2024 compared to 2023.
