In addition to implementing traceability, the main aim is to collect important sustainability data directly at the origin, analyse it and share it with retailers. 👏 Within just six months, Midsona AB, the company behind Davert, was able to connect the suppliers of the main ingredients end-to-end and make selected supply chains transparent at batch level. From September 1st, you can trace the journey of a collection of seven nut butter varieties - from seed to shelf. 🥜📲 By scanning a QR code on the packaging, consumers can explore the product’s journey and access detailed supply chain and sustainability data. The rollout will take place in retail stores all over Germany such as dm-drogerie markt Deutschland, REWE, Kaufland Deutschland, and Denns BioMarkt as well as through an integrated widget in the Davert online shop. While the scope of affected companies has been narrowed significantly from around 16,000 companies to less than 5,500 and the implementation timeline extended, this directive still marks milestone. 🌍 🌱 It introduces stringent standards for environmental and human rights practices across supply chains, reshaping how businesses will be able to operate in the future.
