Building an Alliance for Innovative Green SMEs SEED hosted a session at the Hamburg Sustainability Conference today. We thank all the panelist for sharing insights from their organisations on how SMEs are crucial for the path toward co-creating sustainable development together. Key insights from the first panel on entrepreneurship policy frameworks and the second panel on innovative actions by SMEs were: 🌱 SMEs are the backbone of all economies, without them onboard there is no green transition ✊ SMEs operate in the key nexus of combining social and environmental justice and feed much needed innovations into the market 🗣️ SMEs need support from international organisations by leveling the policy field and elevating their voices 💸 SMEs can catalyze funding with small amounts and can create significant impact through seed grants, yet their biggest challenge remains access to finance #HSC24
